Pizza tasted fresh but poorly executed. We tried the Napolitano and margarita , margarita was good but Napolitano was way too salty. Both were too doughy and not fully cooked. Service was ok. Hate leaving a bad review for a small business. We tried to call and have the issues addressed by the restaurant, and they basically told us they wouldn't even rectify the issue so .... From Saturday .... Ordered 2 pizzas and an parmigiana via Uber eats - I could count the number of onions on one hand (see pics) that they had as our single topping. And the mushrooms were less than a handful. It was like no love or care was put into making the food - just thrown out! and at £14 for an individual size pizza including the topping (£2.50) not really what you would expect! This place had large groups of people waiting out front so we thought it had to be good. Maybe I'm not sophisticated enough for this place as clearly a lot of people were waiting, but pizza was horrible. Doesn't pizza have cheese?? It was like a tortilla (that thin) with tomato soup on top and spec of cheese here and there. So gross!! Made my husband eat a bit of it and then we will eat somewhere else. Personally I would not recommend or go back but maybe someone likes this type of "pizza". On the up side our waiter, Albert, was awesome!! read more

Pizza was very nice. Spot on Napoli. The house red wine was a great value. The staff were extremely friendly. They have a challenge managing a very popular restaurant with only 24 covers. The tiramisu was disappointing hence the rating of only 4 stars. The lady-fingers were hard not soaked. The ingredients were not melded but separate. read more

Came here after visiting the Sherlock Holmes museum. Ordered the fried pizza (which is basically a calzone) with thick dough and all cheese with pieces of ham. Didn't like. Bf ordered the marita which was fine but super thin and soggy. Can't pick up to eat, which is fine, but it was extremely mediocre at best. It's run by the sweetest young Italian couple from Napoli, they imported the oven, the cooks, and bring in all the ingredients from Italy, and know how to make an exceptionally tasty pizza. Stumbled across this gem after reading Gaucho menu and deciding to save that for when guests are paying..... Pizza from wood-fired oven is amazing. So delicious I'm surprised I wasn't arrested like George Michaels.... No Coke Zero, but Aranciata San Pellegrino was great. Service was a bit patchy, but the blond waitress noticed the Italian lads serving were busy conversing with Peroni-quaffing Ragazzos in the bay window, and she got me a menu and took my (custom) order. No Balsamico on the salad but Pizza, Profiteroles & Cioccolate Calda were sublime. £29 bill is maybe almost as steep as Heath St, but I realise the rent must be extortionate with Russian Billionaires and Air Stewards queuing up for the knobbly knees contest at the village fete.... Pizza was great, service was brusque. Just as a note: the pizza here is...for lack of a better word...'wet'. The crust is puffy and light and slightly charred (see: delicious) but either due to the thin crust or the abundance of tomato sauce (or both)...the pizza has a fair amount of liquid to it. This is not a slice that one can pick up, as there is just not the structure to the pizza to afford that. There are plenty of options and configurations for toppings. That said, I recommend keeping it simple: tomato, cheese, basil, olive oil. The Dante Alighieri is my go-to choice. Salads and pastas also available, but with such excellent pizza on offer...why bother? #pizzafiend Yelp note: also do take-away! The good: - My gnocchi was delicious - The aperitif comes with a little bowl of olives and two pieces of bruschetta, which I thought was a nice touch - The pizza tasted fresh and homemade The not-so-good: - The service was... The blonde waitress couldn't figure out which gnocchi I was referring to (despite there only being one gnocchi dish on the menu), I had to ask two servers for the snacks that came with my aperitif, and no one came to check up on us despite my trying to get attention to ask for parmesan. - The pizza, while nice tasting, was very wet. The crust was very thin (the floppy kind of thin) and the sauce was a bit too liquidy. It was nice tasting, but falling apart as we ate it. I'd probably go back if I wanted simple Italian, but make a reservation (the waitress was very flustered that we hadn't made one, even though someone else told us it was fine and that three of the six or seven tables hadn't been reserved, and to take a seat anywhere). read more

The lowlight was when I asked for the delivered Diet Coke to be replaced with the ordered regular Coke. She snapped it away as if it was somehow my fault. I really enjoy this restaurant. The pizzas are fired in a brick oven at the back and they are truly delicious. I personally had the gnocchi and it was lovely. Do call in a reservation if you wish to go on a weekend. There are only a handful of tables and the waits can reach over an hour without a reservation. read more

Satiated my craving for pasta here! Excellent food and service. This place is always crowded. We ordered Orecchiette Alla Siciliana and Scialatielli King Prawns. Both were delicious. For desserts, we ordered a tiramisu and profite roll. I loved the ambience and I was very satisfied. The prices are good and not expensive at all. Will come again to try the pizzas. Went to L'antica for lunch today and was really impressed. The pizza was very tasty, good size portions and reasonably priced. For pudding I had tiramisu which came in a cute little individual pot and I must say it was actually the best tiramisu I've ever had!!! Apparently they make them fresh each morning and it shows. Cosy and intimate ...some may say small and cramped.The place is simply decorated and warm (must have been the wood burning oven ....uncomfortably hot). They claim to offer real Italian pizza but sadly what they have managed to served was soggy ,chewy and burnt pizza base topped with far too much tomatoes and very little else, regardless whatever topping you choose.The addition of parmesan combined with mozzarella is a far cry from the real Italian stuff... The rest of the menu is typical pizzeria style.... classic italian dishes you found in similar places dotted around london and the area.Nothing to rave about it The prices are reasonable for the area but the inattentive and frankly disinterested service from the male waiter who appeared to be occupied with courting the female staff behind the bar instead of looking after the floor made the experience a rather forgettable one and not to be repeated. Being charged for the "service" did not go down well either. Alright little pizza joint- size of pizzas were ok, large wood-fired oven gives a nice touch. I was a little disappointed at the amount of toppings you get on the pizzas. They seem to just plonk a small handful of toppings onto the middle of the pizza- and thats all you get. Felt like we could of each have saved a few quid each by just ordering a margherita each-because it felt like that was what I got. Great little Pizza place, can be very busy at peak times but its worth waiting if the queue isnt too long.

I never usually write reviews, and usually am not fussy in any shape or form, BUT, this was THE WORST pizza i have ever had in my life. I had the marco polo, advertised as having prosciutto on it, it came out with 3 of the tiniest slices of pink packet ham on it, 3 olives, and 3 pieces of artichoke that looked like it had been sitting around for days. You could not cut a slice and pick it up, it just slopped everywhere, the base was not cooked properly (hence the sloppage) there was not enough cheese, and way too much overpowering tomato sauce. The whole thing was basically really sloppy, had no flavour other than tomato and was swimming in oil, not my idea of a good pizza. The bellini was nice though.... Maybe an off day? read more

Yesterday we went to Lantica for the first time and after enetring the place we just felt like in Italy. The atmosphere is amazing, pizza chef singing Italian songs while preparing pizza. Our pizza was delicious, better than any that I had in Italy.For sure we will come back to Lantica for another relaxing evening. read more
