I have very short, course, extremely thick hair that requires extensive thinning, layering, and texturing--something few US salons do anymore (they seem to expect the product to do the work vs the haircut). M Mouynet is a pedigreed stylist who charges 1/3 what I pay in the states! I have twice got in as a walk-in bs the 3-month minimum booking in the states! Competition in Toulouse is fierce, but the quality here reflects the family hair dynasty without the price tag. Chic but sympa salon that is non-intimidating for the non-French fluent. M Moynet is bashful about his own English but is patient with my mediocre French. I have been more than satisfied after six months' of appointments.

I first came for epilation (wax) and it is the best in the city. The prices are extremely competitive and their staff is kind, experienced and quick! Which is always nice when talking about hot wax. I've had massage, which is to die for and where I will be next Tuesday! ;) I've had a pedicure and manicure here as well. Whilst I long for those big chairs with bubbly water to soak my feet in, it is still a very thorough pedicure and about as good as it gets, that I've found in Toulouse. Most recently, I have found my new hairstylist/colorist for as long as I am here... he did an exceptional job with the whole process: highlights, lowlights, gloss, cut and styling. Doesn't get any better than Villa Soriano (and Carole!).
