Well-prepared, well presented, up-scale food. A good wine list. Attentive service. And a charming host (one of the owners) who works the room, interacts with customers, but also delivers food and cleans tables when necessary (as a good owner does). Our bill totaled €26.47 before the VAT, which felt pretty reasonable, given the surroundings. Service was likewise pretty standard. The food, however, was excellent! My wife and son really liked their bratwurst roll and currywurst, while my wild burger was excellent! The burger was perfectly cooked and juicy, while the lettuce was crisp, and the pretzel bun fresh yet perfectly toasted. Additionally, we all found the fries to be fresh, hot, and tasty. For good food with an outstanding view, I rate Marksburg Tavern as being Very Good, and would love to go back!
