Situated in the old Longueuil, L'Gros luxe is one of my go to restaurant. This was during summer time, this L'Gros luxe has a very nice terrasse which I wasn't expecting since we were in the Old Longueuil. I took the fried chicken as entrée. Salt and pepper; simple but delicious. I had their beet grilled cheese as the main dish. It was delicious. You can't go wrong with a good grilled cheese. My girlfriend had their vegan poutine. It wasn't the best. Again, me personally I find it hard to duplicate real cheese so I didn't really like it. But it's pretty awesome that they have vegan options. Overall great restaurant to try for every taste buds. Fun fact: they have special "meal" cocktails wheee they put a grilled cheese, etc., on top of your drinks.

    Fried chicken and waffles! Miam!

If you're looking for a place with great vibe and decor, and has a great menu.. this is it! I've been here twice now and still love it! Once at night and this time it eas for brunch. Great size meal and flavoful! Love it!

Great vegan and veggie options on the south shore. The prices are fair and the decor is cool. The service could be a little more attentive, the servers are nice, but empty water isn't filled automatically, you have to ask--same with beer and soda oddly enough; it's is usually easy to pad a bill with refills especially when the weather is nice and clients are outside in the terrasse. The music inside can be a little too loud for conversation, but the portions are perfect sized and the dishes are flavourful. It's hipster vibe seems a bit out of place in Vieux Longueuil, but based on its crowded atmosphere, it's appreciated. NOTE: bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. They're in the basement.

Unfortunately, while the food here was excellent, the service experience didn't quite match the glowing reviews I had read beforehand. To start with the positives: the food was genuinely amazing. The dish my friend and I ordered was flavorful, well-prepared, and enjoyable from start to finish. The kitchen was also impressively fast, which I really appreciated. That said, the service felt overwhelming rather than welcoming. From the moment we arrived for our reservation, the host who escorted us to our table seemed uninterested and not very engaging. It wasn't rude, but it didn't feel particularly warm or inviting either. Another issue was the menu being entirely online through a QR code. The menu had many pages, and before we even had enough time to properly look through everything, multiple servers approached us several times asking if we were ready to order. What made it more confusing was that we didn't seem to have one dedicated server; different staff members kept coming to the table throughout the night. Even after we ordered and received our food quickly, servers continued checking on us very frequently; honestly, every few minutes. While I understand they were trying to provide attentive service, it became distracting and made it difficult to relax, enjoy the meal, and have a conversation with my friend. After being asked repeatedly if everything was okay, it started to feel less attentive and more rushed, almost as if we were being encouraged to finish up quickly. The restaurant itself was also quite dark, to the point where it was difficult at times to locate the bathroom or even find the exit comfortably. Overall, I truly loved the food and would compliment the kitchen without hesitation. However, the dining experience itself felt rushed and overly monitored, which took away from what could have been a much more enjoyable evening.

You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.

Everything we tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with portions that are just right. The beef and mushroom tartare was a standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced--and the braised lamb cavatelli was simply outstanding. The lemon tiramisu for dessert was the best ive ever had. Overall, a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back!

We had a reservation but were a few minutes late. At 6:45pm we were the only customers. That concerned us initially but the manager/maitre d'/sommelier/waiter, Carlos put our mind at ease. Note: by 7:30pm the place was filling up quickly. Drink order taken, a margarita on the rocks & a specialty fruit juice cocktail to start, menus, and were told the specials. So many choices: Pupusas, Enchiladas, Doraditas, Arepas, & Tacos. My bride had the excellent steaming hot vegetarian arepas with frites ($20) and had this evening's special salsa verde (made in house daily) enchiladas ($24) - a generous portion & the salsa verde was fresh & bright. My wife opted for the bottle of wine deal that Carlos insisted on corking after dinner so she could take the remainder back to our hotel. If a restaurant offers a $20. taco or arepa they better deliver a superior dining experience. Do not let the exterior fool you. Fusion Latina delivers on food quality, service, & ambience. This place is open late, so we walked in. This place gets a star for friendly staff, and a star for having 5 different nice areas to hang out. We decided to hang out in a part of the backyard which had two large trees, cobblestreets, a water fountain, and privacy. The food was decently priced (for a bar). We decided to have half a pitcher of Sangria, which was $18. Neither of us drink anymore, and it takes me half a beer to feel anything. We drank this entire half pitcher. We are both certain that there was absolutely no alcohol in this. They either forgot to put it in or I don't know. I didnt want to complain about it as the last thing I need is someone to adulterate my food and/or drinks. I would recommend visiting this place ONLY if you buy a bottled product (like a beer or a wine) where you don't have to rely on someone adding alcohol to your drink. I wouldnt even trust them with a shot of a clear liquor like Vodka. We were highly disappointed with how sober we were at midnight.
