Hole in the wall, no frills burger joint that you have to check out. It's just a burger but it's so good - high quality meat, fresh toppings and hot and crispy fries. They serve bottled Heineken and have a handful of tables you can eat at. The guy and gal working there were great as well - friendly, English speaking folks that were smiling the entire time. A little undercooked but they kindly cooked it medium for us. The bun was very fluffy and the toppings were incredible. We got our burgers with bacon, caramelized onions, chives, and burger sauce. The New St. Emilion burger comes on a toasted French bun (square) with a hearty fried beef burger, cheese , lettuce, tomato and something very close to American bacon with red onion and shallots in a wine sauce with frites (thin fries) for about 16€. Yum! I like French food as well as anyone but was craving something well, a little less French after a week in France and this hit the spot perfectly. Of course we washed it down with a glass of the local red wine -it is France after all.
