I am very particular about who touches my hair who does my hair and make up and I trusted him to do my wedding make up and hair and it was amazing!! He's been doing my hair ever since. Recently my hair became very dry and extremely frizzy so he did an amazing Brazilian blowout and hair cut and I can't tell you how many people have been complimenting me on my hair. Had a really bad experience here with the owner. Waited some time to post to make sure I still felt the same. Safe to say I witnessed a case of temporary insanity from this man. 1st visit we discussed my hair color but only got a cut. Showed him sample pics of medium to dark blonde highlights. He made it clear my hair would NEVER look like that, COULD NOT be done. I didn't disagree with him but since he wasn't telling me what he COULD do, I politely said I'd keep dyeing my own hair but come for haircuts. Eventually he suggested to lighten my hair at every visit and I made it clear the reason for getting my hair professionally dyed was to get it LIGHTENED. 2nd visit hair was slightly lightened. Service was fine. 3rd app't (the babbling beast comes out!)- When he starts coloring my hair I realize he's only doing my roots n might've noted me down for the wrong service so I politely ask, "so we're only doing a touch up today then, right?" I was trying to be mindful that there was another client present, didn't want to make it seem like I was pointing out a mistake. He says yes, I say ok. I eventually ask when we'd be doing lightening. He acts surprised and asks me if I wanted to lighten my hair (precisely the reason I was paying for service). I mention we talked about this. He tells me "well show me a picture" I said I showed you but you told me I couldn't do that and we agreed to lighten at every visit. He seems to be getting annoyed and snaps a little saying "well show me again! I don't remember" I show him the pic he says "Oh nooo, you can't do that!" (yeah I know! He made it very clear) He was being rude. I was starting to get frustrated but trying to keep calm. I say it's fine if it's a touch up, but when does he suggest another lightening? He first goes off telling me I "need to get it together" and make up my mind about what I want as if I'm bothering him. I said I'm ok with the touch up this time but I really wanted to get my hair lightened again. Maybe he was having a bad day or woke up with an extra pinch of sass, but he kept raising his voice, said he tried giving me good advice, keep me from dying my hair grey, that it would make me look old, that he's not like everyone else, that's he's going tell me like it is. FOR REAL?? I never requested grey hair. I was so confused! If I tried to say ANYTHING he'd cut me off n get louder. I think he was desperately trying to save face in front of his assistant n client. He was still working on my hair n I didn't want to piss him off more so I sat there quietly.... holding in my frustration.... crying. What a baby! I know! Lol It was either cry or curse him out, but I was trying to save my hair. Tears seemed to work like ammunition for his babbling, he said he wasn't going to let me make him look bad. All I could say is he was being disrespectful. He says he's done (my hair wasn't done). The assistant washed my hair and was so nice. She and another client apologized for what happened. He stepped out. I left that place so confused. He tried talking me out of grey hair? WTF! When??? He claims he's honest and not like others, but that shouldn't be confused with lack of respect. Wow! Yep, he's definitely different. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had with any business. Can't think of anything that comes even close. To anyone still considering service here, good luck! Seriously consider going ANYwhere else. He might seem friendly at first, he has to, it's a business. But in my opinion, this individual's mood is too much of a rollercoaster and wouldn't trust him. This text is between Michael the hairdresser and I. I informed him that my sister in law tried to call him earlier to let him know I wouldn't be able to attend my appointment and to cancel hers but he never answered. We tried calling him twice. Then I left him a text so he would know for sure I wasn't going to be able to come in. He then never responded back to me. I find this very unprofessional because I was doing my part on informing him about the day that I wasn't going to be able to make it anymore. He could've at least texted me back to reschedule for myself or communicated with me something civilized and been understanding. That would've been better than being immature and leaving me on delivered. As an owner or employee you have to communicate with your customers whether upset or not. I did not even come off disrespectful or anything. I highly do not recommend coming here or at least to him because this guys attitude and character is too careless about his customers. Even in person he talks about how he's a blunt person but to be a blunt and straight up person doesn't mean you have to be rude of disrespectful to people when communicating with them. I've gone to this salon before a few times throughout the years but never made him my "regular" stylist because I always experienced a little something that I didn't like every time. For example one time I showed up for my appointment on time and his salon was closed. I waited, then eventually called to advise that I was waiting. he'd have an attitude like "oh don't worry I'll be there". It's a bit of a pet peeve for me because we customer's make adjustments to our schedules to be there on time, so I appreciate it when the stylist respects that. but whatever, not a big deal, I let it go as that's just his style. Fast forward to Saturday morning, I left him a message asking if he can color my daughters hair. After a few text messages back and forth on Sunday he says he'll call me during the week to schedule an appointment. He calls me Tuesday and asks me what she needs. I explained she has a red "peekaboo" style and she needs it toned before she starts school. He said "oh I'll just look at it when you get here, I won't even try to go that route". We get there Tuesday for our appointment and he comes out from the back of the salon and is like "so? What do you need?" My 14 year old says "oh I need a retouch" he's looking at her like "huh?" He's like you need what retouched? Her hair is clearly orange now so I didn't understand what he couldn't see. I honestly thought he was joking but he just looked at her, then looked at me and was basically like why are you here? Lol so I'm now getting a little upset like really? We don't speak stylist so meet us half way. I say she colors it red and now needs a toner or retouch. Finally he's like ok let's just get started. Then he asks what happened at the other place that you had to come here? I said "nothing happened". He says so why'd you come here? Like who cares?? The point is we're here. So I had enough, I thought if he's going to be direct so am I. I said she wasn't available and you were that's why we're here (in a I've had enough voice). At that point he just stared at me like "oh hell no" and said you know what this isn't going to work out. I said that's fine. He stared taking off the wrap and was like "it's not personal, I'm not upset, it just happens sometimes". But you know what? He should take it personal. It's his business! Anyways...never again and if you do go there just be aware this guy comes with major attitude! read more

Final review..... I referred my sister to Michael last weekend-June 18th 2016. He declined service with little to no reason; mind you she had an appointment and had discussed what she wanted over the phone two weeks prior to this appointment. He's usually really good with my daughter and I. In the past he was really good at giving me options and advice. I reached out to him regarding this incident with my sister and he informed me he was scared to touch her hair and that she was adamant in going lighter (note: her hair was an ash blonde and he's lightened mine and my daughters hair in the past). I find it odd for an experienced hair professional to give that reason for turning down service. This really upset me because I know Michael is capable of handling what my sister was requesting but he either found it easier to deny service or maybe he really wasn't capable of handling her hair anymore???who knows???? ------ In 2002 I went in with horrible elastic-like hair and Michael turned around and gave me a cute short bob and brought my hair back to life.................. I'm really disappointed with the outcome of my referral. In addition I had referred my sister in law and was going to take my mother in November but once they heard what happened with my sister they both decided to seek service with a different Hair Professional........... The only good thing that came out of this was that my sister did find a nearby Hair Salon and Professional that is confident enough to work with her hair ( I don't think her hair was bad at all )................ Once again I went back to my favorite hair stylist Michael. I will admit it had been over a year, I wanted to let my hair grow long. But in the new year, and my long hair not being satisfying to me, I decided to go back to my pixie cut-which Michael gave me in the first place. After seeing me after so long it was like we had seen each other yesterday...the mark of a great and loyal stylist/customer. I really enjoy getting my hair cut here, but I have to do it when I have a lot of time on my hands. There is only one stylist and he likes to juggle clients, so while one is waiting for her dye to sit, he will start on another one, and when that one is almost done, he will go back to his other client. Not a bad idea in theory, but it does leave you with a lot of time spent waiting around. Bring a good book or a magazine and you will be fine. He also likes to talk, so if you are looking for one of those chatty BFF-type hairstylists, he's your man! He remembers who you are and what you talked about at your last visit too!
