We were pleasantly surprised... the food was so good and the service was outstanding. All employees seemed so happy to be there and expressed that feeling to us. We got there around 6:30 and it wasn't too busy, but really picked up after that. Feels like a great neighborhood restaurant. We will be back!

Their house blend is the best sauce I've ever had, that alone is what keeps us coming back, I believe it is a Viet style Cajun sauce. We usually get the build your own combo, with crawfish, snow crab, and a few appetizers like french fries, garlic noodles, and onion rings. I believe they have changed management recently, or in the past few years. Although the sauce remains delicious, the food quality seems to be falling, and I see that they have a few food safety violations listed on their Yelp. The garlic noodles were swimming in the watery sauce, and the Cajun fries were not tossed, just sprinkled on top. The restaurant has never been that busy when we go, and there is usually is only one server doing all the hosting, food running, and waitressing. Ours seemed to be a little stressed today, and did not refill our drinks as much as we would've preferred, and forgot things like our salt and pepper. We will probably still keep coming just for that sauce, but looks like the restaurant has a few things to work out to bring back its former glory.

The waitress was attentive the whole time, bathrooms were clean, and I really appreciated how mindful the staff was with my deaf friend. That always stands out to me. The calamari was okay. I liked it, but my friend said she's definitely had better. I also had to ask for lemon with the calamari. Last time I came with a friend they were completely out of lemons, so I was glad that wasn't an issue this time. I'd probably try something different instead of the calamari next visit though. We got the Pier 88 combo crab boil with the "All of the Above" seasoning in mild. It came out super quick and was very well seasoned. I personally thought it leaned a little salty, but I also saw other tables adding extra salt to their food, so I guess it just depends on your taste. Portions were good and everything tasted delicious. Very kid-friendly spot, pretty loud and lively inside, and honestly a great place for hosting bigger groups, family get-togethers, or even just catching up with a friend over drinks and seafood. I've been here before and would definitely come back again.

We started with the clam chowder, which was extremely watered down and completely lacking in flavor. It tasted more like soup that had been diluted than a proper chowder. We also ordered shrimp with the Pier 88 seasoning, but the spices were barely noticeable--there was almost no seasoning at all, which is pretty disappointing for a place that markets itself around bold flavors. The service was just okay--nothing terrible, but nothing that made up for the food. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype, and we won't be returning.

Today was especially meaningful for my family as we celebrated my mother's 3-year anniversary of receiving her kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic. From the moment we sat down, our waiter, Leandrew, welcomed us with such a warm and inviting smile. He immediately began offering recommendations and was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. To say he knew the dishes well would be an understatement -- he could explain every ingredient in detail for anything we asked about. We always start with the Lump Crab & Spinach Dip with crostinis, and as always, it was absolutely to die for. For our entrées, we each ordered the salmon topped with shrimp and lump crab meat, finished with a rich butter sauce and mashed potato purée. Despite how busy the restaurant was, everything came out quickly and tasted absolutely magical. While the food was phenomenal, the service is truly what made this experience unforgettable. Leandrew went above and beyond, and I genuinely hope he receives the recognition he deserves. We'll absolutely be back again. Until next time!

Angie's Lobster is one of them. Not a stranger to their concept, I did see a lot of fun new stuff to try: - Crunch#!@$ Supreme with USDA Prime top Sirloin Steak, $6.99: I think the person who assembled my crunchwrap left out the tostada and tomatoes. Had it been in there, I think this would have made for an amazing crunchwrap. The steak itself was done well. - #!@$ Rib Sandwich Meal, $8.99: This is the thing to pass. Have you ever bitten into something so salt you fall onto your knees, knowing your blood pressure was about to punch the moon in the dark side? That's what happen. I was intrigued by their take on a rib sandwich but I recommend you pass on it unless you want to feel like a horse with a salt lick. - Extra #!@$ Salad Meal, $6.99: I mean, it's a salad. It's a chicken parm and spinach salad with an herbaceous pesto dressing. This was solid with no complaints. It also came with a quesadilla on the side so that was fun. Always a fan of Angie's. I can't wait for them to open up the one by my house this fall. They'll be half-a-mile away. My wallet is quivering.

Overall, the service is good and the food is great. I've tried several items including the cod, steak, chicken, and breakfast options, and most of the time everything is solid. My only real issue has been with the breakfast bowls. When they were first introduced, they were amazing. Unfortunately, over time it seems like the portions have gotten smaller with each visit. I can overlook the bowl being lightly seasoned or the potatoes sometimes not being fully cooked, but there should at least be enough potatoes to cover the bottom of the bowl. The steak and eggs are usually good, but during my most recent visit about a week ago, I was pretty disappointed. Normally the bowl comes with two eggs cooked over-medium, but this time they completely forgot one. Considering I'm already paying an extra dollar for what's maybe half an avocado, the least I expect is for the eggs to be correct. The bowl ended up costing around $10, and the fact that I finished it in about five minutes because there was barely anything in it was frustrating. I didn't even have the energy to go back and complain because I had already gone through my morning routine and dropped the kids off. I really hope this doesn't become the norm because overall I do like the food and the fast service. However, I won't have an issue choosing not to return if the portions and accuracy don't match what's listed on the menu.
