Perhaps it's just the tradition but I have to eat here every time I am in Santiago de Compostela as it consistently charms with its unpretentious tavern feel on the ground floor (proper dining room upstairs). Noisy, informal, and oh so good.
Tons of local cheeses and wines to try, perfect pimientos de Padrón, fame-worthy Gailcian bread, elaborate salads - I always have to get the grilled goat cheese and veggie abundant salad! My carnivore partner loves all the traditional meat and seafood preparations and the homey vibe as well.
As a veghead in Galicia- seafood capital of Spain, finding variety out can be a challenge, so thankful this classic exists! read more
