Excellent upscale brunch, bakery and bread restaurant. They offer covered, very lovely outdoor seating during nice weather. All of our dining party loved our breakfast meals of omelettes and breakfast tacos. Our server was accommodating and great at her job.

I have been going to La Brioche since they were located on the corner of Midvale and Tokay. My friends and I used to walk there after school to grab some treats. Now I'm lucky enough to work right behind their location on University, so I am able to pick up delicious goodies whenever I want! One positive to having a larger location is the addition of the cafe. The inside is incredibly beautiful - it reminds me of a Victorian sitting room. Be warned that they request phones be on silent and no laptops, so not the ideal place to come in and work. You won't want to though, because it makes the ambiance that much better! The food at La Brioche is incredible, and you really can't go wrong with anything. If I'm having breakfast, I prefer a quiche or a breakfast sandwich, and if I'm having lunch it's gotta be the grilled cheese and potato leek soup. Their coffee is amazing, and I also love an Italian soda in the summertime.

This place has Midwest nice written all over it! Got the vanilla challah French toast with bananas and pecans based off Yelp, and it was a banger. It did not feel too sweet even though the entire dish is sweet.

I've been here three times for brunch. This place has the coolest ambiance with various patterned stuffed chairs instead of hard chairs at the dining tables. The booths are cozy and they have lovely outdoor seating during warm months. They have a beautiful bakery case right even you walk in the door... so far everything I've purchased has been delectable. The food has been absolutely scrumptious every time I've been there and I've tried various menu items. The orange juice tastes freshly squeezed and both the coffee and latte are excellent. The service has been excellent as well! The only downside is that over time the place has been getting busier and you may have to wait. But that is a sign of an excellent restaurant. Absolutely love this place!

Vegetarian Quiche $19 for a small piece of quiche and a side of soup

For the quantity of food provided this place is way too overpriced. I had ordered a vegetarian quiche with salad + a side order of soup (separate) and I didn't get any salad at all. My husband ordered the spinach and cheese omelet and it was mediocre. Both items were $19 The server did substitute the soup in the price instead of the salad when I mentioned I didn't get my salad. So that was good. Ambiance was super loud but fun and did not bother us.

A very cozy little spot with live piano (at least on Sundays.) Expect to wait a bit for a table, but it goes by quickly. It took a while to get our food, but all of it was fresh and really good. Personally, I would opt for one of the more 'speciality' dishes like the crepes or chilaquiles. $15 for eggs and bacon was a little pricey. I had the croissant pudding as well, which was really tasty!

I cannot believe I've lived in Madison for 10+ years and just recently ate at this GEM!!! The food here is amazing. The French toast is the best I have ever tasted. The garlic roasted potatoes are insanely good. The service is always top notch and very friendly. The restaurant itself gives an elevated cafe feel. I really enjoy coming here for brunch. It's an amazing spot.

There's a reason that brunch here would be my last meal on earth. That reason is called Vanilla Challah French Toast. Crème Anglaise, Choice of Caramelized Pecans, Bananas, or Berries. I get all of them. It is the reason that I'm dining at La Brioche True Food both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Bringing a new person each day. This is my go to brunch spot in all of Madison. Over the past year I've brought a dozen different people to this place. I wish that I hadn't spent all those years driving by before trying it one year ago. I did try the crêpes a couple months ago when a new associate said she'd had them before, but I'm sticking with the challah toast because it's the best in the world. There's plenty of savory breakfast as well as ample lunch choices here too. If you like baked goods and fancy coffees with foam design this is also your spot. Remember that you need to keep your phone and electronic devices put away once you enter the doors.

We tried about two months ago on a Sunday and there was quite a line so we tried somewhere else new to us. It was worth the trip back here! Marigold is a really cute place inside. We were between the breakfast and lunch rushes so we easily found a table after ordering. We noticed there was a steady flow of customers and the tables turned over at a decent pace so maybe we should have stood in line last time around. Hard to know sometimes. We ordered the breakfast burrito, avocado toast and buttermilk pancakes. Service was quick and friendly. The pancakes were fluffy and they looked good. The service was absolutely great, and the restaurant has a lively, charming vibe. It does tend to get busy, so I'd recommend arriving at a reasonable time. I ordered the French toast, which was clearly their own elevated take on the classic. The flavors were good, but the texture was a little different than I expected and threw me off slightly. It felt more like a chic, creative version of French toast rather than the traditional style, which is the only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five. Everything else was fantastic, though, and I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

It was Thursday evening and they had a ribs/pulled pork special. We waited about 10 minutes at the bar for a table. The bar and atmosphere is great. Pretty bar lights and an old wood bar.
