If you are going to be a renter and you don't own any belongings and you have a very small car that you don't ever wash then you'll be ok living here. If you are a normal, reasonable person that values your privacy then you will not like living here. I will work up to the latest draconian restrictions in a bit. It has been increasingly less enjoyable living here with every new restriction they implement. Every month we are reminded to put our trash totes back in our garages. If you leave yours out for too long they will put a note on it. The trash totes and compost bins attract bugs and rodents yet we are forced to keep them in our garage. Newest rules are "no bird feeders" and "keep your screen door closed or remove it entirely." Now let's get to the garage issue. In one newsletter to the residents it was mentioned that garages are for parking cars and not for storing things. Anything you do store must be kept in a cardboard box or a plastic bin. Then the random garage inspections occurred. No notice as to when they were happening other than it would happen during the next month. We were also not allowed to be present. Now the inspections are to happen quarterly. They actually went in our garages, took pictures, and emailed us telling us to clean them up and get rid of things. They claim they will enforce fines yet they won't reference any specific rules. There are so many more details and insight that I can include but this review would go on forever. To summarize, there are unreasonable restrictions and invasion of privacy laws that they are violating, and our right to a peaceful habitation as well. Seriously consider if you want to live under these conditions and if the promise of a low rent for a few months is worth it to you. Who rings doorbells at 5:30 am and orders Landscaping Everyday.. they mowed our yard twice and leaf blowers come by twice.. and that's just Tuesday. And then again on wednesday vigilanty leaf blowers ..Thurs. yep. Leaf blowers Friday. Garbage trucks and leaf blowers . Sat. You guessed it....nnn mn anaaaaahhhhhhhhannnnnns. That's a 2 stroke leaf blower .. even heard one on Sunday for a few mins. Just no just no ‍ oh almost forgot the screaming soccer people bright and early Saturday morning and all weekend. Theres also go kart track across the road and you can hear them ripping, one neighbor always complaining about the apartment he just moved into being so messed up and grossly neglected for years. oh wait that's me. Could have sworn I read that it was a quiet neighborhood. They sent a HVAC tech to address a leak in the utility closet and they said to put a Tupperware under the leak. They ordered a new stove pretty quick to thanks but they installed it over the filth that was there from the last tenant and it was filthy. Balcony seems unstable doorstep is wobbly doorbell missing a button no light on the balcony upon arrival and hoa says they only deal with outside stuff. Then why the heck are you nosing around inside the garage. Inside the garage is not even where the complaint he was responding to was said to be. Would be 4 stars but for the circumstances. I've lived here as a renter for nearly 3 years now. I like my condo/apartment (not sure what these are). My unit isn't as modern as some of the neighbors but hey, everything works and as I recently experienced that the property owner is proactive when something doesn't work and fixes come quick. For nearly 3 years I've lived in relative harmony with the neighbors. A quick wave, a smile. No friendships but hey I work long hours. Good so far? But there's this. But almost 2 years ago one particular set of neighbors moved in and well. What can I say, they have a bad life. They play our their bad life for all their neighbors to see and hear. I have seen most of them panhandling around town so I assume they are unemployed. And I don't care that they panhandle. I guess if it pays the rent they know something I don't. But with that lifestyle comes some stereotypical behaviors. Drinking, loud conversations, screaming arguments, adult crying which is creepier then children crying, pet's that aren't trained. Cop's have shown up by the multitude and on many occasions. The homes around them are families in some cases with small children. Their adjacent unit remains vacant as renters of this place quickly realize what they moved next too and break lease. As a child of a big city, who saw stuff like this and worse growing up in such a city, although I'm fine, I just assume never to have seen it. I feel terrible these families are subjected to this set of wild men/women neighbors. If these people mellowed out this neighborhood would be 4 stars but anyplace that has such a group has lost it's sense of peacefulness and therefor only gets 2 stars. read more
