I seen this place was well rated and literally across the road and offered the steak dinner I was after so I headed across. Being from Scotland I was a little early for dinner at 8pm but was happy to sit at the bar with a beer until good to go, I hadn't sat for 10 mins before bring offered a table, a lot earlier than I should have I'd suggest to their credit. I sat down and ordered the nachos and a rib eye steak for main. The nachos are very different to what is served in Scotland of course so different to my usual but very good, much better than Scottish version of Doritos with lumps of cheese, salsa and guacamole but then that wouldn't be difficult! The main was brilliant. Not the best I've had but then that is reserved for the wagyu steak I had this time last year in the far East so not fair to compare to be honest. I managed to squeeze in a dessert as hadn't eaten all day and to be honest when it came I didn't want to disturb it as it looked so good on the plate! The flavours didn't disappoint either, simple banana pancakes it's seems aren't all that simple, presented exceptionally and tasting the same I can thoroughly recommend coming here. Great atmosphere, cool area and fantastic food.

Why do Spanish restaurants struggle so much with presentation? This isn't visually appealing. I…read morerefuse to believe it's a deliberate choice to prioritize flavor--because achieving both is not only possible, it's easy.

San sebastian is a unique oceanfront city and this is the perfect place to enjoy it. Come here before the crowds take all the seats. There aren't a ton of seats either. They have some spots for bigger groups as well but it is not a massive place. I really enjoyed it here. The service was good as well. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back for the view alone. We didnt get fancy drinks but they had a good selection. Come check it out!

Located next to City Hall, on the waterfront, the 1930s Art Deco style building offers spectacular bay views. In fact, if you sit at a waterfront table, you'll think you're on a boat. The establishment was created by the same team behind the highly successful and popular Atari Gastroteka nearby in the town's Old Quarter. Their theme for GU -- "Music, Gastronomy, Architecture." The staff is professional and friendly. The cocktails are excellent. The sound system is state of the art. The building is an architectural gem. The drink menu is quite diverse featuring a dozen different custom cocktails. The mixologists in San Sebastián take their jobs seriously. The "El Diablo" is their spicy take on a classic margarita with ginger beer adding the zing. The GU Mule is their version of a classic Moscow Mule. The food includes a limited but well designed selection of sushi and pan-Asian selections presented in an artful style. GU straddles the line between restaurant, bar, cocktail lounge, and night club. Unlike many of San Sebastian's bars, it does not offer food at the bar -- only at the tables. The interior decor is quite edgy, with expansive glass sliding window walls, huge skylight, and comfortable Eames-style leather seating. The life-size cardboard cutouts of Le Corbusier (nude) and Mies van der Rohe (suited) in the men's roof are comical. Definitely worth checking out for a relaxed light meal and a few drinks while taking in one of San Sebastián's beautiful sunsets.

Everything was simply amazing! Beautiful with great textures and flvaors. A work of art and such a fun experience. On another visit I tried their vegan schnitzel sandwich with mustard that was delicious but less creative and pretty than the pintxos :) Counter service, at least when I was here. I waited over 10 min to get my order in, especially when I had already talked to the waiter on the way in, asking about the Menu del Dia. As I got served, the food was ok...I got the whole fish and it was a bit bland....when it was time for dessert, they gave me a few options and I picked one....but then the waiter asked me if I wanted coffee or tea...I asked, is it included in the Menu del Dia...he did not say anything, just kind of nodded.... I got a green tea. When it was time to pay, I was charged 15.20 euros....I said, I thought the menu was 13.50...then he said, but you got a tea.... I said, I asked you if it was included and that is why I got it....I usually don't drink tea anyway.... So, they kind of cheated on a customer by trying to get more revenue. Not good...
