There are sandwiches. There are great sandwiches. And then…read morethere's Master Sandwich in Turin--where Paulo, a man who speaks six languages and somehow makes each one taste like bread and glory, presides over his counter like a god in an apron. This place isn't a shop. It's a shrine. You don't wander in--you make the pilgrimage. The air smells like toasted bread and cured meats, and somewhere behind it all is Paulo, building another small miracle with his hands. He's not slapping ingredients together; he's conducting an orchestra. The bread is percussion, the cheese is strings, the meat is brass, and the sauces... they're the slow, smoky notes that stay with you long after you've walked out the door. I came to Turin for just a few days. I left with the taste of this place burned into my memory like a favorite song. Two sandwiches--different beasts entirely--and Paulo wanted my honest verdict on both. That's not ego. That's the hunger of a man who knows the craft isn't just about being great once--it's about being great every damn time. The bread shatters just enough to let the fillings take over. The flavors aren't just balanced--they're in conversation with each other. And the sauces? They haunt you, the way a great meal should. If there's a heaven for sandwiches, Paulo is there already--smiling, knife in hand, sliding something across the counter that will ruin every other sandwich you've ever known.

The owner speaks Italian (of course), French, Spanish, and English, and when he's not serving the massive number of people strolling in, he's great to talk to. The sandwiches were only €6.5. And's they were so co l good, we came back the our last day in town to have one for the road. You can tell, they love to cook and love people. I hope to come back to Torino just for these sandwiches.

That being said, the burgers here are really good! We tried: The hash brown poco loco - this burger was so hefty! But also pretty decent. The hash brown made it stand out, so if you get the regular poco loco, I assume you get a pretty standard burger. Definitely not bad but nothing special in terms on ingredients. However, I really liked the bun! The outside was thicker and crispy without feeling stale. And the inside of the bun was still soft! Frenchie - this burger was my personal favorite of the two. Same compliments for the bun, but I loved the combination of the cheese and honey for the toppings. It was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. The fries and onion rings were both really good as well. The fries were really crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and salted generously. And the onion rings were pretty typical. One thing I wasn't a big fan of was how long our order took just because we were waiting on the fries which took forever. But they ended up upgrading our fries to a medium for the trouble, so no complaints here!

After placing my order, it took 30 minutes for my order to be ready. First off, the fries are pretty good. It was hot and crispy and were big like chips and not the typical French fries you see at a McDonalds or something. My biggest complaint is the size of the bread ratio to the meat they give you. Holy cow!!! That's a lot of bread. I wish they had given you more meet so that every bite had meat in it and you are not just eating bread. The meat was also on the dry side. I would still pick this place over McDonalds that's close by.
