Unfortunately, while the service is still great, the food is just not as good as it used to be. ATMOSPHERE/DECO Typical Alps/mountain décor, the restaurants decoration is very cool with ski, old farming equipment on the wall. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Lot of windows and light. SERVICE Very friendly and fast, our waitress was also funny and helpful. They have several wait staff speaking foreign languages as well. PRICE Price was good for the area. Dinner for 4 with drinks and wine was under $150. FOOD Sadly, it was not as good as it used to be. While my go to order, hanger steak with morel sauce was still excellent (and I highly recommend it), my dad and brother fondue was just not good at all. Not very cheesy and taste like cornstarch (or other thickener agent), the charcuterie plate for the fondue was ridiculously small with sub-par quality meats. Dessert was also not as good as in the past, the profiteroles puff pastry was likely frozen and harder than I like. The ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream on top were excellent. MISCELLEANOUS There is no parking close by so keep that in mind. They do have English speaking staff and I do believe I saw an English menu. They do have AC but it's not very strong (at least for Americans lol). Bathroom was clean. La note de Sebo Atmosphere/Deco 5/5 Service 5/5 Food 3.5/5 Price 4.5/5 Misc. 5/5 OVERALL 4/5

TL;DR: Loved raclette so much I came back twice in a week :)…read moreFair warning, this is a slightly biased review as this was my first taste of this new eating experience that is raclette Our table ordered the raclette (min 2 people) and each of our plates included charcuterie, some boiled/steamed potatoes (communal), and a green salad (communal) ...and of course...the raclette! The charcuterie meats were nice thin cuts with great flavor and the smokiness paired super well with the melty salty cheese along with the soft pillowy potatoes Scraping the heated melty cheese onto the plate and quickly enjoying the combination of flavors, temperatures, and textures was so exciting and fun! The wine (Crozes-Hermitage for local regional wine) was excellent, as well Santé, Dédé!

Once we parked outside of the historical city walls we wade through the rain and stumbled on to Le G'Astrologue and it's warm and inviting decor. There was a few other couples inside and they were all raving about their dishes. We ordered the soup which was a veggie / herb mixture and the best presentation and flavor of a soup we ever had! I also had the salad which turned out to be slaw style with tons of thinly sliced veggies and a handmade dressing. I wished I could duplicate both of these dishes at home. The bread basket was refilled on request and it was a nice Artisan style bread - crunchy on the outside and soft and flavorful inside (we went through 2 baskets). We didn't want the meal to end so we ordered sorbet with a tasty fruit compote on top and a small amount of whipped cream. I had the chocolate / raspberry dessert which was delightful I over heard one of the customers requesting the recipe for her dish and was politely declined. This is a husband and wife operation. The husband is the cook and the wife is the hostess and waitress. She was very friendly and very patient with me. Her English was very fluent and she would easily switch from French to English and translate the menu for me. I only wish we were staying in the area instead of passing not through so we could dine here again,

It's a perfect little spot with lots of amazing choices on the menu so you'll always find something that you like on there! My two favorite dishes on the menu are local specialities. If you are going to get raclette anywhere, this is the place to get it! Why you ask? The presentation! Their raclette heater is beyond beautiful! But enough about the heater, the cheese is fantastic and paired with their huge charcuterie platter and big bowl of potatoes and big bowl of salad it is absolute perfection! If you don't feel like you need to be rolled out of there, you didn't do it right! They give you a huge amount of cheese and so much meat to keep you busy. I also highly recommend their fondue. The fondue here is perfect in every single way. The keep an eye out to make sure the fire isn't too hot and burning the cheese and not getting too cold at the same time. If I remember correctly they use three different cheeses in their fondue so the flavor is spot on! We did fondue delivery from another place a week before and this fondue kicked it's butt! I shared this with my mother and when we got the pot, we thought they gave us way too much cheese but we managed to finish the whole pot it was that good! This is a great local spot and I would recommend it to any one in the area. Cozy up next to the fireplace, enjoy some wine and a nice raclette and you'll be one happy person! I can't wait to go back!

It was a 40 minute drive, but I felt the food, service, and atmosphere was worth it! The menu was very extensive. I was envious of some of the dishes being served to other diners, but we were there for the Raclette and it did not disappoint. Read more about my visit on my blog: http://wp.me/p8juup-7I
