My partner and I explored the facility and it took us all of five minutes to see the place. Would not recommend coming here if you're looking for some time to kill. Although it was small, I did find it to be very cute. Drop by if you're in the area but do not go out of your way. This place is mostly for students looking for a place to study. The courtyard was very quaint. Would not recommend coming here if you're a tourist. I did not notice if the place has air conditioning but I doubt they do. Beautiful place to come here to study though. I did not see any other tourists there.

Museo del Palacio is the new name for this stately building located in the Zocalo. This building…read morewas once the State Government Palace or called Palacio De Gobierno. During the Day of the Dead festivities, every year there is an altar and a giant sand tapestry set up here in this building. There is usually a contest for the best altar and, therefore, many smaller Day of the Dead altars are set up around the main floor of this former palace during the competition. So, a visit here is a must during Day of the Dead celebrations in Oaxaca. Also, many temporary art exhibits are held here throughout the year. Have fun!

This is a big plaza for the important show in City of Oaxaca. We visited at the night of November…read more1. Which is big day for The Day of the Dead. The plaza has the cultural show that night to explain the land with the Day of the Dead. The program includes narrative of the story, dance movement related to the Day of the Dead. Group dance on the stage. Very beautiful modern dance with a bit ballet movement. The parade group dance below the stage. Then the finally with Mexican fireworks. The fireworks was beautiful. It is one of the kind. This epic event fulfill my goal of this trip. The costumes were beautiful. The prop also carnival worthy.

When I the neighbourhood I always visit Xiguela & stop here for a bit…read more This place gives me so much peace and I like that quite often there's a celebration happening so you'll hear music & see people dancing. But what I enjoy most is not the church itself but the tree outside. They're called bombax or coquitos, right now these trees are flowering so it's a beautiful scene, with all the fluffy & hairy pink flowers & no leaves at all.
