This was my second visit to this Dominican spot, and let me tell you... they are 2 for 2 because they did NOT disappoint I went for lunch with a colleague and ordered the oxtail with white rice, habichuelas, concon (you already know ), and crispy tostones--and whew... every bite was hitting! The flavors were rich, comforting, and straight-up authentic. You can taste the love in that food. And let's talk portions... they are NOT playing with you. I had enough leftovers to run it back for dinner later, and it still tasted just as good! The service? Super attentive and welcoming--exactly what you want when you're trying to sit, relax, and enjoy a good meal. And the decor is such a vibe--cute, cozy, and full of personality. Even the restroom had a unique touch... a big pot turned into a sink! Like... come on, that's creative Will I be back? Oh absolutely. Probably next month though, because it's about an hour drive for me--but listen... it's worth it. If you're ever in the area and craving real, authentic Dominican food... don't even think twice. Just go.

The location was a bliss when your driving to find this place and you might miss it. Not your ordinary restaurant setting , yet the ambiance and food were absolutely amazing. I went with the mofongo with fried pork chunks. The mouthwatering flavor stood out as I squeezed lemon onto the smashed plantain (mofongo) and the pork chunks. Everything was nicely presented. As for the service, it was not very attentive for the size of our party, especially with how many people were present during lunchtime. Would definitely give it another look moving forward.

We came here for lunch after having donuts first at Dixie Highway donuts a few doors away. As we weren't that hungry, we just had a few bites. First off , I've always thought of mofongo as Puerto Rican, but this turned out to be a Dominican restaurant. I ordered their cocktail de camarones assuming it would be like the "cocktail" done in several other Latin American and Mexican restaurants with tomato sauce, ketchup, pico de gallo, and sometimes avocado. Here, it was an American shrimp cocktail -- 6 plain cooked shrimp with a cocktail sauce on the side. It was just okay. I also had a chicken empanada. This was very good. Served hot, I liked both the dough and the filling. My husband had a croquetas appetizer. It said 6 on the menu, but there were seven fried ones on the plate. These seemed prefab/institutional. He didn't care for the sauce that came with them. He wound up using my empanada sauce. He also got a side of sweet plantains. These were good. They didn't have a separate lunch menu or any specials that were reasonably priced. The menu is fairly expensive. But they do offer a lot of quantity on the regular plates per our neighboring table's meals. I'm glad we came to try them. Now we know.

Was iffy about this place and a lot of people were talking about how good it was. I live in Ft. Lauderdale and will definitely be driving back north just to eat here. The food was amazing. Service was good, waitress was very helpful. It's not a big place so I would suggest to go early cause I hear it gets packed. It had the trifongo with the chicken and it did not disappoint. The thing I did not like was the morir sonando (taste different than what I had in NY) and the parking is not easy. Other than that I'm coming back to try more.

Visiting the west palm beach area, and craving good Dominican food , this is the spot . A little hidden gem , with a few tables so seating it's limited . But the food is as delicious, full of flavor , the grilled chicken was amazing ! Service was great and the server helped us as soon as we got seated .

I am heartbroken .... This warm, welcoming, clean, authentic fresh dining establishment is 48 minutes away from where I live!!! What will I do!!!?? Drive!! Empanadas house made packed to capacity with savory fillings, I immensely enjoyed the chicken seasoned to perfection, light delicate dough excellent!! But BABY.... The OXTAIL EMPANADA is pure heaven, I LOVED IT, I will drive WEEKLY to get them! The Broiled Snapper was beautiful, not over cooked and juicy and presented superbly!!! Mofongo was the best I ever had! I want to work my way through the entire menu. The Service was PERFECT, genuinely welcoming and helpful with suggestions and the crew there worked together like a well oiled machine!

EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS we were a little skeptical at first because most of the people in our group were picking eaters. However, everything was so delicious!!!! I would recommend to anyone wanting to try something different, the flavor, the seasoning, and the atmosphere.

The food is always delicious. The best restaurant in South Florida in my opinion. The service was good and very funny. They put a lot of effort into the coffee. I loved the people it's always a vibe here.

I came here with some coworkers and it did not disappoint! This is a cute small restaurant that specializes in Mofongo. They have an extensive selection of mofongo. I ordered the chapiadora that has steak, shrimp, sausage & chicharrón. It was delicious! The tres leches was amazing as well. Service was great. It does get packed for dinner so make sure you get there early to avoid waiting for a table.

A small and quiet Dominican restaurant. Ambience was nice, they don't have loud music or hookah so you can expect a meal with some music in the background. The Mofongo was delicious. I also had some lemonade with coconut, a bit too sweet for my liking but nonetheless delicious. Service was great, everyone was delightful.

First time at Casa de Mofongo and it was a delicious experience! The service was outstanding! Special thanks to Michelle for her warm and attentive care. I started with the tostones paired with their warm house garlic sauce and it was absolutely mouthwatering! For my main dish, I had the Mofongo con Filete (grilled whitefish) with rice and beans. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. A must try spot for authentic Dominican cuisine!

Comfort deliciousness food. Service is good they get busy and ambiance is homey space is not very big for their ongoing success. Mofongo is great all the meats and the shrimp sauce rocks. Not too overwhelming on the garlic. The churrasco it's a MUST here. Desserts also are the cherry on top. Oh!! The coconut lemonade toooo

This is a small restaurant specializing in Mofongo (Mofongo is a dish from Puerto Rico with plantains as its main ingredient. Plantains are picked green, cut into pieces and typically fried but can be boiled or roasted, then mashed with salt, garlic, broth, and olive oil in a wooden pilón (mortar and pestle). We waited for ever on a Sunday to be seated and eat, and I can imagine this place gets packed on the weekends mostly. If you go on the weekend, do not go hungry. It was only two of us so we shared a platter that had a little bit of everything including Mofongo balls. It had fried cheese, chicken, pork, etc. The platter is good for 4-5 people, too big for only 2. We got some beer as well. Cool place to go if you've never had Mofongo and want the experience.

I love Mofongo, my first time eating it with a rascal

I was able to take some beautiful pictures. It was self-serve at the front counter. The food came out within a minute! The only issue was parking. The GPS took me behind the building and I had no idea where to go! The strip shopping center next door had signs all over "no restaurant parking." I ended up parking a block down on the street.

The slaw also looked less than appealing- it seemed like a different combo than I am used to here- but also just looked old. On the upside, my son loved trying his first pupusa (without slaw). In fact, I'd never had a pupusa when some time back I read another review from Melodie and decided to try them. We found a Pompano Beach restaurant near our other residence that we frequent with Salvadorean food and have now visited often. When we came in, I guess they could tell we were "gringos", so they switched servers to one with better English. But we usually can get by with our school Spanish okay. Most people dining here were Spanish speaking, but you should be comfortable if you don't know the language. My husband decided to have a pupusa with beef and cheese along with a salad. The salad came out first. It was a plate of lettuce with tomatoes and cucumbers and some ranch dressing. His pupusa came with coleslaw. And they put a container of thin red sauce on the table for us to share. He said he thought the pupusa was good. He also got a passion fruit drink, medium size, to have with his meal. I had to try the "squash flower" one (per Melodie's review) so I ordered the loroco pupusa. I looked this up to see what these flower buds looked like. As mentioned online, this unique green vegetable was a bit crunchy and reminded me of a broccoli stalk or asparagus spear. But it is unique to El Salvador and used in Salvadorean cooking in many different ways. There was more cheese than loroco in the pupusa. It was fine. I'm glad I tried it. But I also ordered a "mixed" pupusa (revueltas) of pork, beans, and cheese and this one was the better tasting of the two, I thought. Of course, I put the slaw on top of the pupusa and sauce on top of that (as I'd learned from Melodie) and that really makes the whole experience in one delicious bite. I didn't realize how large the pupusas would be, so I'd also ordered a coctail de camarones. Not to be confused with an American shrimp cocktail, I'd had these when they've been made like shrimp ceviche or like the one I had here. The cooked shrimp was mixed in a remoulade dressing (mayo based) and topped with pico de gallo and avocado pieces. It was very good. It was served in a sundae glass. And came with a package of crackers, as well. Now that we've come here to try their pupusas, I'd also like to try one of their signature soups and other meal specials. Prices are quite reasonable. Please note: This isn't fast food as everything is cooked to order, so just be prepared if you're really hungry for a short wait.
