On this particular evening, my wife and I went with my Brother-In-Law to Antik-Lokales. On the way to the restaurant, my B-I-L was telling me how it was Antik-Lokales who brought widespread pizza delivery to the Darmstadt area. Consequently, I was absolutely obliged to order pizza! Of course, I don't really need an excuse to order pizza!! And, on that note... I ordered the Lokales Pizza. My wife ordered the Lokales Salad with an added portion of Fried Chicken Breast. My B-I-L also ordered pizza; something spicy I think!? Anyhoo, we were all very happy with our food. It all arrived to our table hot and fresh and was all delicious!! In fact, I can honestly say that the Lokales Pizza I had was literally one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten!! As advertised, Antik-Lokales has a very rustic vibe going on; lots of dark, heavy wood architecture and dark lighting with candlelight flickering on tables. A really great place to settle-in and snuggle in a bench seat and have a hot coffee or even a good, perfectly chilled Pilsner. As a soldier, I served six years in Darmstadt and sadly, this was only my first visit to Antik-Lokales. I'm quite upset at my wife and B-I-L, because of this! Had I eaten in this restaurant during my time in Darmstadt, I would have certainly become a regular patron!! Great ambiance! Great service! And, great food!!! Whether you live in the area and are just looking for someplace to chill or grab a good meal or, you're just visiting or even just passing through the area, you definitely should not miss out on a visit to Antik-Lokales!! You will thank me!
