Decent food, far better than the service. Two out of three times I dined in, the service was bad enough I shared the experience with the manager. One out of one time I decided the food was worth it and tried takeout, the service was trash and the young lady wanted to argue. Find a different place to eat, these people don't care about you or the service you should receive, from the management to the lowest level employee. Props to the cooks though. read more

The service was exceptional sitting at the bar. I ordered the seafood soup and a margarita. The soup was soooo delicious and I was extremely satisfied and impressed with the flavor and size of the bowl. The frozen margarita was tasty. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. read more

The drinks: 5 out of 5. I tried the coconut mojito&strawberry mojito. Both were great could have add a little more liquor however they were perfect drinks for lunch. The food: the salsa for the chips& queso were 5 out of 5. The quesadilla I had steak & shrimp with a side of rice and beans. 5 out of 5. ( the guacamole was just okay The other ppl Oder street tacos and beef tacos they both loved it one person also had the soup she loved it as well. The service was 5 out of 5 as well. Fun charming Mexican restaurant. Our waitress and chip person were so helpful and attentive. The real star of the goes to our entrees. We didn't order appetizers, and we got water. The water was stellar, which is saying something in Angleton. I ordered the Birria tacos and they were mouthwateringly tasty. I gotta add that the Spanish rice was probably the best Spanish rice over ever had. Since I usually see it as a filler side that's not worth the extra food, it usually sits untouched but for one bite. I ate a lot of my rice, which NEVER happens. My partner got the enchilada meal with one beef fajita, one ground beef, and one cheese enchilada. The beef fajita enchilada was so good! I would definitely get those again. The enchilada gravy wasn't the best, but that really the only thing that wasn't amazing. It just was plain. We are definitely coming back. I don't know why it took us so long to come here. read more

When some of my children came into town Saturday and wanted to eat, well the vote was for Mexican food, so to La Casona, we went, a fine dining restaurant, with marvelous food. They have great meals even for picky eaters such as my granddaughter, bean nachos, o well she likes them, and yes, I got a taste, and they were very good. One of the nice things about this restaurant is they will cater to everyone's wants & needs adding to or taking away from your order. Good meal choices to please everyone, from enchiladas, to great tasting sea food to chicken & beef meals, one can't go wrong with whatever they order. First off, i would like to say La Casona's food is awesome. However, the noise level is horrible. I have request a quiet spot on several occasions. And evidently there is not one. The Patio area is the worse. I could barely hear my family talking, then they moved a table of 15 behind us. The noise was unbearable. I was unable to enjoy my meal. I have nothing against the family having a good time but, can't you make part of your building a bit quieter for your customers? Please? Or asked us if we would like to be moved. read more

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Horrible experience this evening. My husband ordered 3lbs of crawfish. After waiting for 15 minutes. We were told there would be a 20 minute delay. We agreed to wait. We finally get our food. As my husband eats his crawfish, he finds a huge SPIDER! He stops eating. He ate a half a pound. He respectfully request to speak to a manager. Manger (Pedro) apologizes, then down plays the situation. He blames the crawfish suppler. He agrees to get us another 3 lbs of crawfish. My husband ask for the crawfish to go. Initially, he did not want to offer a discount. He finally agrees to give us a $10 discount for the horrible experience! When we get home, we do not receive the 3lbs. Beware of this place! Best flautas ever!! Oh my goodness! A friend and I were on the way back from the beach and we stopped to eat here and it was amazing! Great feel inside the restaurant, amazing food, all the employees were friendly, all in all it was a great experience! Our server, Morgan, was attentive, kind, and respectful! We both had the Flautas Mexicanas and they were the BEST I have had in a long time!! I wish I had taken a picture as they were well presented too. Officially in my top five. The flavors were amazing. I believe there must be cumin in the refried beans. The flavor was amazing. Definitely needed more on the plate, it's a very small serving of rice and beans but delish nonetheless. I ordered the deluxe chicken tacos and they had a really nice flavor. I eat a lot or chicken tacos and these stood out. Hubby had Cajun Shrimp with a cheese enchilada. He said "hands down best shrimp I have eaten in my life" Salsa is served warm which threw me but it was very good. Came here with a large party. I ordered the Bonita. It was delicious. The rice, chicken fajita quesadilla, and beef fajita taco were yummy. The servers did a great job taking care of our group. I also enjoyed the salsas that came with the tortilla chips. Definitely recommend this place. read more

It's very rare I give a 5 star. The location was very clean, very cute inside. Service was very good and the food excellent. Went for lunch during jury duty. The marinade on the tacos Al carbon meat was one of the best I've ever had. The salsa was ok but I asked for habanero sauce and added salt and was just fine. Highly recommend this place. Very disappointed with our service this evening. I have reviewed a lot of restaurants including this one and the waitress we had tonight was horrible. Not friendly at all! She rushed us. Brought me the wrong drink. She didn't offer us another drink or dessert! I would have ordered both! She sat the check on the table and walked off. I always enjoy La Casana but Sabrina ruined this experience for us. If it was my restaurant I would train her to be nice to people and at least try to act like she cares about customers having a good experience. i have no complaints about my experience here, in fact, this is my aunt's favorite mexican place in angleton and i've been several times, but this was the first experience at the new location. when we walked in, it was fairly busy for a wednesday at 12pm. everyone working there is wearing masks and guests must wear masks until they're at the table. there are some protective glass coverings next to the booth. so try to get a booth seat if that's what you're looking for. the hostess was new, it was her first day and she did great, she showed us the specials for the day and when i saw the chicarrones i was sold! i have a very strict diet for food allergies and was able to have this. they were delicious and the guac was SO FRESH! fajitas were warm and steaming when we got them. plenty of food for the two of us! thanks la casona! read more

Unfortunately, I was traveling so couldn't take it home. My husband's enchiladas were too much for him. We don't eat pork and the server recommended their vegetables. Also delicious. Should you find yourself in the small town of Angleton, TX and are Vegan, this place can accommodate. Not well but good enough. I would give a 3 star for the food, but per my usual, as this restaurant is not listed as vegan or to have vegan options (not even a vegetarian section on the menu), I won't do them like that. We custom ordered a black bean chimichanga, well fried and black bean enchiladas. The black beans are vegan, and plain AF, the refried beans contain chorizo so we skipped those. I loved the rice and the guacamole. I strongly disliked the unseasoned beans, the chips that were not made fresh in store, and the very warm and soupy salsa. PS!
