Horrible experience…read more We made a reservation interior terrace for 3:30p. We arrived at 3:15p. Checking in was more akin to trying to get service at a busy butcher shop without a number. Staff were running from one end to the other. Hostess told us to go outside and find a table. All tables (2) were standing in puddled water. We thought about going back in and complaining. Honestly, we didn't want to go through all that hassle again. Horrible Experience!

Their specialty! Pulpo a la Gallega y cidra.
Obviously the specialize in octopus.
More FREE pinchos. Have to love the Spanish drinking culture. Cheers.

The meal was a fantastic value and we didn't even eat the included desserts because we were so full (they packed them for us to take away)! The starters were deviled eggs stuffed with tuna and little sausages over fries. Then came a pork stew and zucchini filled with shredded chicken. Just when we thought we were done the bacalao and the ham steak showed up, both over potatoes. We powered thru, except for a few of the spuds. Lunch included a bottle of cider each, poured in the over-the-head Asturian style. Our waiters didn't speak English, but with some gestures and rudimentary Spanish we were well fed, and they were very kind to us.

The waiter spoke English and helped us with the menu. We started with some wine and a cheese board with bread. Some of the cheese was very mild but others quite strong... As we ate, the place started to fill up with what appeared to be locals. Some were older, some couples and some families. It did not look like tourists. My wife ordered Rape fish also known as monkfish ... It was grilled whole with a lot of garlic sauce and boiled potatoes. She loved it. I had Hale in urcyn sauce over a thin layer of sliced potatoes. It was also very good. Everything including 4 glasses of wine was 63 euros. We were very pleased.

Casa Ramon is one of the few that have an uninterrupted kitchen service throughout the day, so that was an easy option for a hungry ME. I sat outside on the patio and most of the people did. Some had fried seafood, some just had drinks. I had a thin steak with fries and it was very well done. I had asked for low salt and they delivered an entree with low sodium. Good ! My server was nice and busy as he was one of the two serving all outdoor tables.
