    Churros con chocolate
    Natalie T.

This is the place you take people to when you want them to try a great churros con chocolate. They're very traditional to Spain and how they eat it. - chocolate: was sweet without being too sweet, velvety, delicious - churros: perfect bite and flavor, not oily AT ALL, light sugar sprinkled on top They were truly, just incredible and the staff all worked so hard. The churro cone looked good too, we saw many people ordering it. This place is perfect for your sweet cravings but also have a variety of savory options. Very cute spot that's welcoming and warm and feels like a churreria in Spain.

Love the churros here! All time favorite is the Dulce de Leche made in a cozy cafe/restaurant. Note seating is limited. The restaurant seems to always be busy with most orders going out for delivery so be aware when coming first thing post opening that you may experience a delay due to deliveries. Otherwise this place is worth the wait and a visit.

10/10 - This is going to be my favorite not just churro spot, but dessert spot too! I love love love chocolate and churros but I hate when they take a good thing and try to make it fake fancy to mark up the price too. Here you have so many classic options as well as some updated cute options too, like churros bites, matcha and dulce de leche sauce, and also seasonal specials! I got the classic churros for $5.50 for 5 pieces with chocolate sauce for $3, and a hot chocolate for $5, and then went back for more fresh churros. The churros are fresh and crispy and not too oily. Inside has seating for maybe 10 people so don't be rude and come with a huge party. Very quaint and cosy, I really love it!

came here and got the stuffed churros, they were good but I wished they were bigger hahah will def come back for their other churro desserts! They also offer churro sandwiches (savory) which I found interesting. Located towards the end of soho / beginning of noho

I loved their stuffed churro! It was delicious, hot, and oozing with flavor. The service was friendly and the ambiance trendy and hip. I ordered the dulce de leche and while I loved the amount of filling I couldn't help but feel like it had mixed a little with their banana filling of the month as their was more banana essence in the flavor than caramel

We stopped by for churros with Nutella dipping sauce and a cappuccino. The place is small but wasn't too busy and it was easy to find a place to sit. The churros were hot, crispy, and fresh tasting. The cappuccino was smooth and delicious as well. Delicious and excited to come back

Everything was delicious!!! You feel like family dining here. The size is small and intimate. Seating is about four tables stacked closely together. Then against the wall there are barstools. I ordered three separate Valentine's Day specials and each one out did the other. Not only is the presentation beautiful, it is very very tasty! I loved the home feeling. Highly recommended for authentic churros and homemade sandwiches and chips

I tried this place at the right time! Their august specials included coconut, which I love. We ordered the toasted coconut ice cream churro cone ($9.50). Definitely can be shared! You get a huge scoop of ice cream, which was very good. Then you get to the churro; YUM! If it hasn't been so filling I think I would've gone back in to order a stuffed churro. It can take a few minutes to get your order. There was only one person working and a bit of a line formed. She took care of the orders she could quickly manage before making our come. Despite appearing to be a rather tiny space they have a decent amount of indoor seating and there were two tables outside.

Honesty the best churros. Not super sweet. Balanced sweet and light and airy with a crisp bit.

So..... La Churreria's instragram game is incredible. Their editing and picture-esque content of their churros made the sweet look so good. I was very much looking forward to having a churro cone with vanilla soft serve ice cream. I love ice cream, churros are delicious, and the content I've seen looked so good, so it had to also be incredible right? Unfortunately, not so. The taste was just mediocre. Can't even find more of description other than just a disappointing experience eating it taste wise. Would not go again. It wasn't bad, but it's definitely overrated.

We stumbled upon this place after lunch today and had the MOST amazing churros ever! The only bad thing is they're greasy BUT oh so good. They have 4 different fillings you can choose from: Nutella, matcha, dulce de leche or lemon custard. I got the Nutella and my best friend got the dulce de leche. They are a nice size for $4.50 and super good; not so sweet. The place is cute; it's small but the service is good. The churros are super fresh! We would definitely come back here to try other flavors.

Delicious warm, crispy churros! The fillings aren't mindblowing and there is no condense milk, but the churros themselves are very fresh. The space inside is very small and cramped so don't be count on finding a seat. However, I would come back if I am craving churros! This is the place to be!

Perfect cute and cozy dessert spot! I've always walked by and had never been. I decided to take advantage since I was in the area. The staff are really nice and although it can get pretty busy, they're pretty fast! They have so many different churro options to choose from. I went with the classic churros with Nutella sauce for dipping, and wow. Just pure deliciousness. The lattes I ordered were also perfect. This is an awesome spot if you need a little something sweet for a pick-me-up. It's also churros, it doesn't get any better than that!

The table we sat at was quite large, and I think it could have fit a few more people. The staff was friendly, and the lighting wasn't too dark, nor was it too loud. While I liked the atmosphere, I found the food, or rather specifically the tapas, to be not good at best, while the main dishes were better but also ranged in quality. The fact that the tapas we ordered were pretty closely priced to the mains means I would recommend the mains only based on portion and taste alone. To drink, a bunch of us split a bottle of wine from their large and pretty reasonably priced selection. The first tapas that arrived was something that I could not eat. This was the Pulpo Zarautz for $32, listed as octopus with garlic and merken seasoning served over mashed baby potatoes. The dish was small, and people thought it was OK as they found the pieces of octopus a tad chewy. They liked the spices but were surprised that the potatoes were a bit cool. The $24 Gambas Al Ajillo, with slow-cooked prawns, white wine, EVOO, garlic, and mermen, was alright. There was a handful of shrimp, and they were decently cooked, but the "ajillo," or rather, the garlic, was very light. Therefore, I found it a bit bland, which is almost never the case for this dish. I wouldn't recommend this based on price and flavor. Last and least of the tapas was the $22 Tortilla De Patatas, listed simply as a Spanish omelette. There was an option to add chorizo for $2 more, which we did. Along with the omelette, this also arrived with a few sauces and some pieces of crunchy bread, which were the highlight, as the omelette wasn't good either. The texture of the omelette was very different than any other Spanish omelette I've ever had. It was quite soft with a bit of chew, with a mild chorizo flavor. Along with the greenish color, it wasn't exactly appetizing. I wouldn't recommend this at all, but thankfully, that was the last tapas we ordered. My favorite of the main dishes was the Solomillo & Pebre for $28, listed as skirt steak topped with parsley and olive oil, with hand-cut fried potato and salad. While not the most tender, as it is a skirt steak, it was still well-flavored with the topping almost reminding me, to an extent, of a less oily version of chimichurri. The potatoes had a unique texture, being slightly crispy on the outside while remaining slightly soft in the middle. The salad on the side, which also arrived with one of our other mains, was a tasty mix and certainly more effort than a typical salad you find in many of these places. We also liked the $32 Costillas De Cerdito, with pork ribs in beer, mustard, and rosemary with hand-cut fried potato and salad. The pork ribs were flavorful, though I did find a bit of it to be a bit fatty, but some of that is expected with pork ribs. The mildly sweet and slightly rich sauce paired with the pork ribs. The same comments from before can be made about the potatoes and salad. Last was the OK Paella De Mariscos for $38, listed as rice cooked with shrimp, mussels, clams, prawns, and fresh saffron. The portion size was good, with a lot of mussels and clams in particular, and a handful of shrimp. Of the bite I had of the two large prawns, they were plump and juicy as well. However, the rice was both a bit bland and a tad mushy and felt a bit overcooked compared to many other paellas. There was some socarrat on the bottom as per usual, which was the best part. It's a bit difficult to rate this place. The spices, textures, and flavors were lacking from the overpriced tapas, and I honestly wouldn't recommend any of them. For the main dishes, they were tasty, but you can get a better-cooked skirt steak at many other places for a similar price. The ribs were decent, and the paella was just OK. If we only had the tapas, I probably would be giving this place a 1, but for the whole meal, an upper 2, rounded up.

The sirloin was seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection- very tender! By far my favorite dish! The calamari was a bit of a disappointment. It was fried too crispy and lost the calamari taste. The hamachi crudo was excellent, with a unique coconut and mango sauce that gave it a touch of sweet to go with the zest. And the pulpo was great, the octopus was well prepared and the sauce was hearty without dominating the taste. The half chicken was the most memorable dish; our server recommended it, and it's clear why. It was unbelievably juicy and tender, with plenty of lemon flavor in every bite. Getting a reservation wasn't that difficult with several weeks notice (doesn't go in 2 minutes like some places). The food ranged from just fine to very good and I especially liked the protein items from their whole organic animals. The problem is the restaurant is just way too small, which means cramped tables and some outdoor seating that looks like the restaurant just sort of overflowing onto the sidewalk. I also got the feeling that they were trying to turn tables quickly to make up for the small number of seats. Good food, bad overall experience. I'd go back for the food, but only to sit at the chef's bar. Food: 4 Drinks: 4 Service: 3 Value: 3 Atmosphere: 1 Food: We got the pan con tamate, yellow fin tuna, pulpo a la plancha, pork meatballs, goat confit, and duck breast. Our dessert was the chocolate ganache with creme fraiche. The pan was tasty but a little over salted and over oiled. The tuna also had good flavor but was a little bit firm. I was a little bit disappointed with the octopus - its an entire small octopus flattened on the grill. The texture was good but it was smothered in minced olive which dominated the flavor. I thought the meatballs, goat, and duck were all fantastic, especially the duck. The textures were great, flavors complemented well, and these were all cooked perfectly. Drinks: They had a very extensive wine list with a sommelier on staff. They also had some vermouth based cocktails, but no hard liquor. We each got a small carafe of wine that we both enjoyed. Service: Service was overall good but felt a bit rushed. I felt pressured to get my order in quickly and the sommelier only came around once before we had a chance to look at wines. They did a decent job of working in tight quarters, but I expected more from a place rated this highly. Value: I came here because of the Chase Sapphire dining credit. But after tax and tip we still ended up with a bill close to $300. Its good food that's elevated from a lot of other tapas places, but I this felt a little steep for the overall experience Atmosphere: This place has the potential to be really cool and the chef's bar looks elite, but its just way too crowded. They had us crammed in a corner with two other tables, none of which had enough room for the servers to get by. Every time the table next to me needed something I got my chair kicked or bumped into. And its a tapas restaurant, the servers come all the time. This was a major detriment to the experience.
