Theres something called CIMI that 6th graders go to every year if the district has money. Luckily i got to go. But over all the teachers are really good and yard duties are absolutely amazing. One thing i dont like is that theres only school dress codes for gurl and not for boys which i think is unfair. But i like it and if i have kids i would bring them here.

We started with MCS for that reason (one of the few, if not only, schools offering in-person instruction and childcare). But we have stayed for elementary school because our experience was so wonderful. Not only are the teachers at MCS warm, caring, and nurturing, but they are incredibly communicative (as is the leadership/administration). If I have a question or concern, it is responded to almost immediately. Everything is very well organized and I can focus on work each day knowing that my son is happy, surrounded by friends, and growing in a nurturing environment. MCS has fostered my son's learning and confidence. He regularly works in class with children from other grades and has developed wonderful friendships across the ages. Assignments, homework, and projects are appropriately challenging. It's been awesome watching him grow and develop in this environment. I am not sure what we will do after sixth grade -- I just wish MCS continued through grade 12! - but this certainly is an incredible place for us now.

The teachers were motivated, caring and attentive. The kids learned something new every day. They "graduated" to upper campus in fall of 2023. Both girls had wonderful experiences. Some other parents asked about the turnover amongst the staff. Admin has such clear goals and expectations, and they do such a good job vetting their staff that turnover was hardly even noticed. The new staff slotted right in, continuing the existing program with no disruptions to the kids' schedules. And each new member was a wonderful addition to my girls' lives. Both of our girls entered TK well above grade level in their numeracy and literacy skills. And it's not like her parents are geniuses. We cannot recommend Learning Den highly enough.

Itzy and the teachers assistants are excellent. They have helped my son with lots of seamless transitions such as daycare routine, naps, bottles, and solid foods. He is so happy and well adjusted. He has learned to happily play independently. He loves seeing the other kids in his class. He loves the stimulating and educational toys and the activities they do there. He always has a smile on his face when we drop him off and when we pick him up. The classroom and drop off area is calm, clean, and orderly. The teachers have given me great advice for at home too. They are helpful, educated, and nonjudgmental. They also often send the most adorable pictures and videos of my son throughout the day which is the highlight of my workday! Unlike many daycares/schools, the holiday schedule is quite reasonable. They offer "camp" where they can take care of your child during weeklong holiday breaks which are about 4 times a year. He was a good guy. I was a of the rough kids at DP. Smoked weed out on the front field of back field. Got in to a few fights. But I guess he seen something in me that I didn't so any time that I got into shit. He would roll out the wrestling matts. He would call out one or two of his biggest wrestlers and it was on. After getting are ass kicked we would see things a little different. My brother and myself had gotten in to a brawl with a couple baseball plays between class the baseball coach jumped in the middle of the fight and he got his arm broken felt bad about that a little he was doing his job I guess. But it wasn't his fight anyways Mr. Hart found out about. He had me and my brother wrestle his players every day for about a month. After that I really never got into fights at school. Started studying got my shit together. That was my first year at DP testing the waters of high school.

They're great community builders as well hosting family get together so the parents can get to know each other as well as the children. The teachers are warm and welcoming and my children love it there. Montessori is such a wonderful way to help children learn and flourish. Their place is always clean and welcoming. We had our children go to Somerset pre school and child care before and during covid. We notice that they have done so much to keep the children safe. They have filter ans air circulating thru out the house. The children are outside all day, except naps. They have a large covered patio with heaters and a playhouse so the children stay dry in the rain and warmer in the cold winter mornings. They have changed their program to adapt to rules and regulations. The children have thier own box which is full of coloring supplies, pencil, work books, whiteboard pens and erasers. Everything your child needs. The children work at their own pace. They have puzzles, games, They have several playhouses for the children to play on a side yard and a Hugh lawn area with big toy, castles, and a sand box. Thier play area is large and great for roll playing. Afterbit rains. The children go for a walk, picking large leaves, to do leaf racing over the creek Bridge. Small class sizes, violin lessons, science lab, organic gardens, parent education classes, student trips to DC, teacher in services at Harvard....I could go on and on. This is a public school but is better than most private schools. We are fortunate our children go here.
