Lunch for three on a very late summer day, the place completely empty besides the waiter - more luckily the owner, but being most of the restaurants on the ocean drive shut we decide to try our luck at La Darsena.
Very nice place and view. A bit old fashioned, which makes the place more authentic and personal.
We order busiate with sardines and fennel. A rich portion, the amount of fish offered is adequate, even an extra touch of authenticity thanks to the "mollica" brought extra so that the hungry customer can decide how much of bread crumbs he can put on the top of this classic recipe.
The house wine honest and not pricey.
But there is a but: the service, so lacking in conviviality, almost unfriendly. From the beginning till the end. And if you do not love your customers probably you don't love your job and your business. It's sad. And enough for me to avoid this place.
