If your in Florence you have to stop by for a great authentic Italy. This is our second time stopping in at La Bottega del Chianti and we weren't disappointed. The woman working here was extremely helpful and nice. It's really worthy of a stop just to view Italian artistry even if you're not in the market for colorful Italian ceramics.

While this is a "mom and pop shop" in the best sense, it is backed with rapid DHL shipping. Not slap dash, just highly efficient. This was a small shop, but they did have a few seats available. The service was fast - it was fun to watch them shave the meat right in front of me. I grabbed a prosciutto sandwich and ate it while walking around the market. I thought the meat was pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. I will say that I wasn't a fan of the bread - it was fairly dry and I had a hard time digesting it. I had to drink a bunch of water after eating it. Next time I would try out one of the other stalls instead.
