I went to go buy bananas. I normally pay .36 a lb. Here I paid 1.26 a lb. They weren't labeled organic, exotic or rare so idk why they were expensive. I didn't buy anything else so cashier couldn't get confused. They were yellow like most bananas. Did I complain? No, I figured this is their gimmick; their style. I just won't go back. Very sad. After reading other reviews on this place, I would advice u to check prices before buying, check for expiration dates and flies. The neighborhood around this place deserves better. This meat market wouldn't even get stars from me!!! I've gotten meat & tripitas FOR DIFFERENT occasions and both times they came with FLIES.

Hi I went to this meat market this people are gouching prices on their meats I went and ordered 3 whole fryers and 6 pounds of steak to my surprise the whole fryers cost me 36.00 dollars and some cents and the steak 51.00 dollars and some cents I said this is highway robbery but without a pistol. I proceeded to the cashier when I noticed they had a little bakery so I asked the cashier can i place my meat here on the counter he said fine so I did went and grabbed 4 empanadas with a plastic paper they have and 4 cookies. I was noticing they don't have anything for you to grab the cookies with no I got lucky to find the plastic paper so I proceeded to the counter where my protein. Was waiting when I got to the cashier he was sweeping the floor I stood there 5 to 10 minutes waiting for him to finish wow I was so unhappy him sweeping while my protein was just sitting on the counter a few feet away from him and the dust particulars in the air. I said hello I would like to have your name please .he just put the broom aside after he finished sweeping. Then he said my name is Kevin and he started to ring up my groceries i said can i talk to your manager .kevin replied if you don't like it here you can leave I said look you are a filthy moron first your sweeping then your telling me .you don't need my business. Ok well Kevin went and tried to charge me double the price on the poultry. Then he grabbed the bloody steak and put the steak inside the same plastic bag as my poultry . I thought in my mind that's cross contamination . so then I said Kevin can you separate the 2 proteins . kevin looked at me and said my mother is the owner of this place and the manager. I said what is her name . he said the name I have the name on a piece of paper . kevin then wrote the name. On the piece of paper and then he totaled everything. And he said .its 91.53 cents so I gave him the money .grbbed my groceries .and as I was leaving the store i remembered that Kevin never sanitized his gloves or changed his gloves after touching the broom he just proceeded to touch my poultry and steak and never changed his gloves so I went back and said Kevin I want my money back have you'll ever had a visit from the health department . kevin just grabbed my groceries and put them under the counter and said you are going to have to wait until I get all this customer s he ignored me. So I started to record him with my camera that's when he gave me my money back. I don't know why people go to this carniceria but they have rude service over priced meat . I can actually go to Wal-Mart or HEB and get a whole fryer for 7 or 8 dollars . And steaks that are nor dripping in blood for a lot less. But I had to go check this store out for my self and what I found out about it is disgusting maybe they are selling something else besides food .anway. Remember folks. The corona virus is out there in the world . so if a person is not practicing good hygiene. And is handling your food don't go to that place I would rate this place a zero but I can't find the zero.
