We wait for an hour with people who have glasses of water and a finished coffee from an hour ago on the table. With 8 tables waiting no one tells them to get up and leave. At 15:40 they tell us that the kitchen closes at 16:00 and that there are tables inside (where they almost don't serve you, you have to go to the bar to order). I think they could have told us that an hour earlier. In the end we left without eating. If you want to spend the whole afternoon with a glass of water on the table, this is the ideal place, nobody is going to tell you anything.

Not sure if that's a common thing in Spain, but you can sit anywhere indoor even there's a waiting list for outdoor. If you really want to sit outdoor for dinner, I recommend going at 8 or even earlier and avoid Friday night. It's just so busy everyday. The waiters are very friendly even they don't really speak English, but they have English menu, so that's fine. I love the baby squid, grilled mushroom, and pork cheek. (Sadly they didn't have pork cheek the second day I went) Snail and the tomato soup is good too. The pork chop is a bit dry. Overall, it's an amazing food place with super low price. I highly recommend this place, and I'll definitely come back if I happen to be in town again!

They sat us upstairs because we wanted Tapas vs. dinner. Dinner menu shows a dish cost 20 plus euros, Tapas range between 3 euro to 15 euro and the portion is huge. I cannot eat Spanish food in San Francisco - I say that but I do on occasion go out to eat in San Francisco's Spanish restaurant, but the truth of the matter is - French and Spanish food are way overpriced in San Francisco. Tapas are cheap and good in Spain and the freshness of the food is always night and day comparing to what they serve up in California (I know that I'm generalizing but it's largely true). The burrata course is amazing. Buffalo milk is different than cow milk. Their version of burrata is fresh buffalo milk. Taste delicious. Ceviche is different than Mexico's but this one I could do without. It's a little acidic but I think if you are into healthy food, this is a good option. The dried tuna salad is amazing. The tuna reminded me the same kind of method of curing as I had seen in Norway. It's almost a cross between jerk and cured fish. Slightly tougher than what you'd see in ahi tuna, once you get over the texture then you can enjoy this salad that is filled with watercress and edible flowers. I liked it a lot. Definitely something you'd see in Scandinavian countries. The cheese course is always a crowd pleaser and the octopus, for that I'm upping the rating to a 5. Octopus - let me pause and explain, is slightly charred, and it is super tender inside. It's served on a bed of quinoa and sliced super thin veggies. It's beyond delicious. The last time I had octopus this good was in Santorini, Greece, where it was served on a bed of local feva bean paste. Definitely do not forget to order this. Finally, Cod dish - the Cod is slightly salted and there are three large pieces which is more than an entree size. The fish is very tender and oily, and very fresh. A stand out. It's within 2 minute walk from the hotel AC Marriott, and it's a pleasant dining experience. Good food. Excellent service.

I wanted to like this place, but the food I had was really sub-par…read more I was on my own and ordered cone of fried fish with aioli, pork sirloin with whiskey and grilled vegetables with pepper emulsion. They now have an English menu, so everything was clear (or so I thought) especially since both of the waiters on duty didn't speak much English. (I arrived at 1:20 and one of them tried to tell me they wouldn't open until 10 minutes later - he kept on gesturing a cross with his hands and I asked '10 minutes more?' and he shook his head but eventually I guessed it) The fried fish was NOT fish - I was expecting something like fried sardine or fish fillet, but no, the texture resembled Asian fish balls... Soooooo weird. They were supposed to be served in a cone, but only a few pieces were, the rest were on a bed of lettuce and that made them all soggy. Ewwww. The pork sirloin looked promising - until I bit into a thicker piece that was undercooked, and it's pork... I wanted to tell them but since their English was so bad I just didn't bother. The grilled veg was just normal grilled veg - kind of flavourless but I needed some veg after so many days of mainly meaty tapas. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place... although the menu looks promising and the decor etc is nice. The waiters were helpful but the fact that they can't even understand basic English makes it hard for people who don't speak Spanish.
