Expectations Far Exceeded! Jodie was wonderful and helped me pick the perfect glass of wine. We enjoyed the relative quiet and dimly lit atmosphere. Made us feel comfortable and right at home. The crab soup, Steak Frites, and Creme Brulee were divine! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!!

This is an adorable French restaurant! Once you walk in you are transported to France. We had the escargot- so plump and juicy - for our appetizer. For our meals we had duck and scallops. Flavors were wonderful. The scallops came with a side of cauliflower. Totally enjoyed the ambiance. Take a moment to enjoy the stained glass bar top!

The first time I was in Rehoboth, I saw La Fable from the outside and immediately tried to book a table, but it was booked up. This trip, I made sure to secure one and we were not disappointed by our visit! This restaurant is so cute, the service was phenomenal, from our server to everyone who delivered and cleared dishes, the vibes were friendly, happy, and bubbly. To start, we ordered the oeufs mimosa, which were delicious. My main dish was the scallops, which were fresh, big, and delicious. My husband had the canard (duck), and it was stellar. We finished with the crème brûlée, which was honestly one of THE best I've ever had. Safe to say, we finished every bite. It was worth the wait and I can't wait to come back to La Fable to try more!

First impressions are important. Being new to the area we were looking for a special dining experience for our anniversary. We heard nothing but good reviews so I thought I'd book. When we arrived I was Flores. Thought for sure we weren't at the right place. How could a restaurant with such great ratings look so dirty and unappealing from the outside? I told my husband let's be positive and once we got inside things were much better. But honestly, if I was walking past this establishment and took a look at it..I'd keep walking by. Make a little effort. Clean up, wash the walls and use a blower to clear off those leaves. Then maybe it'll justify your elevated prices.

Food, service, and ambiance were 5/5. The staff is so personable with their guests and knowledgeable of the menu. Cocktails were expertly made! The interior and music gave an intimate rustic French countryside vibe. Highly recommend the steak tartare, cordon bleu, the strawberry martini

What a dreamy French food meal we had at the cute little spot right near our beach condo! Came to celebrate our daughter's 25th birthday and were treated like royalty. We started off with some fancy cocktails and a lovely card from the staff, wishing our daughter well. So thoughtful and a nice touch for a special evening! Our family is cheese crazy, so of course we indulged in our first course with a fromage board loaded with cheese, crostini's, spreads and pickles. I love soup, and the chilled sweet pea soup caught my eye. So glad to have tried this as it was so flavorful and creamy. By then were were all getting full, so we ordered two main dishes to share amongst the four of us. The Poulet cordon bleu came as a fried chicken breast stuffed with melty gruyere and prosciutto and topped with a Dijon mustard sauce and a side of mixed vegetables. Could not get enough of this flavor combo! But even better yet was the boeuf bourguignon, an unctuous plate full of braised short ribs, mushrooms, pearl onions and carrots over creamy silky whipped potatoes. I could live in that dish! If that all wasn't enough, the staff and kitchen surprised us at the end with a plate of homemade macarons to celebrate the milestone event. What a special way to cap off an incredible meal experience. We will most certainly be back to this wonderful dining spot.

We popped in here for a cocktail before dinner somewhere else because it looked so fun from the outside. The building is very art deco, and while it is below street level, there is a big window in the bar letting you see in (and out). The bar itself leans heavily into the French bistro theme, and the bar has stained glass under the glass that is lit up. The vibe is very fun. There was also a musician behind part of the bar, who was singing lounge music and playing a keyboard, which was a nice addition. I'm taking off points for the fly infestation and the general mess behind the bar, but that could have been an anomaly.

    A beautiful table setting.

The food, the service, the atmosphere! This is the best restaurant in Rehoboth! It was a wonderful experience. We will be back every time we have the opportunity.

A classic French restaurant? It depends on your perspective. La Fable represents the cooking of the Ile de France - there is little representation of the food of the Sud-Ouest, of Alsace -Lorraine, of Provence, or the Bordelaise. We celebrated an anniversary on a fall Monday, the restaurant being about half full. A Negroni was large, well made, and quite potent, something of a bargain at $14.00. La Portena's Boursicottes Sancerre was crisp. Some warm slices of baguette arrived, with good butter at the right temp for service. For a starter, I had the torchon of foie gras, which came with a sort of breadstick, on a plate. The thick disk of foie gras had plenty of flavor and was accompanied by a sort of bloom of fruit conserves and cherries. The bread stick was inadequate, but I availed myself of the leftover bread service. La Portena went with the La Fable salad, a nice mix if slightly overdressed. The entrees are all $42, which may seem a bit pricey. I plumped for the scallops. They weren't the largest but were tasty and fresh. They came in a mushroom sauce, not the usual Coquille St. Jacques presentation. Pretty good, but the nice surprise was the crisp and well seasoned side of fried cauliflower. La Portena's halibut was thick and properly cooked. We shared a piece of the Chambord cake. Luscious if not the most sophisticated dessert I've encountered recently. Overall, a tasty if not exactly innovative meal. I would return.

For the appetizer section they had a lovely sounding beet salad which our entire table picked only to be told they were sold out - how you sell out of a salad on a price fixe menu when you only have 3 options I am unsure but regardless we were not interested in any of the other options so our lovely server and manager made us a Greek salad instead which was great. For my main I had the crab cakes which couldn't have been better. I loved every bit of them. Finally for dessert I had the pistachio baklava which to be honest was not great but that's alright. Service was impeccable. Ambiance is interesting, we didn't realize this was a hotel as well and the hotel reception is quite literally in the restaurant which threw me off a bit but otherwise the ambiance was fine. Overall I don't know that I am rushing back to Sirocco but I wouldn't say to stay away either.

On our second visit we brought 5 additional friends to try their cocktails and sat in their relaxing outdoor space. Everyone loved the margaritas and the blackberry margarita. One of the Lewes residents recommended this place during my recent stay, and an excellent recommendation it was! Located about 3 miles from downtown Lewes, there is plenty of parking in the busy shopping center...which I always appreciate. Don't be surprised if there is a long line upon walking in as this place is popular with the locals. The smell of freshly baked bread is the first thing that hits you. There is a wide selection of croissants, cakes, muffins, cookies, rolls, danishes, and of course, loaves of bread. A complete list of their offerings can be found here: https://www.labaguettede.com/menus/#lewes-menu As I was vacationing with a group, we got a few items; but I opted for the namesake baguette. When we returned to the AirBnB, the skinny baguette was still warm and had the signature crispy-ish exterior and nice flaky interior. Spread on some butter with coffee, and that was a perfect breakfast. I forgot to take a pic, but the breakfast bacon, egg, and cheese sando was excellent. Crispy strips of bacon, fluffy eggs, melty American cheese, is contained within toasty bread. At $8.50, honestly that is a good deal since it was large enough for two meals. Service was efficient, albeit perhaps a bit brusk...but it was busy so I'm not gonna detract any stars. The staff behind the counter just want you to give the order and don't have time to engage in too much small talk. From start to finish, a large-ish order of 12 items (including 3 breakfast sandos) only took about 8-10 minutes. In additon to baked goods, there are grocery items, t-shirts/cups, and other retail items for sale. While there is limited seating indoors, if you're lucky enough, snag one of the small table outside to enoy dining al fresco.
