The breakfast buffet has a nice selection of pastries, cold cuts, eggs and coffee. You're able to boil your eggs to your preference. Their scrambled eggs are creamy. For dinner, we went for their prixe fixe menu. I ordered salad, linguine with squid and trio of desserts. The salad was great except for the breaded chicken which was dry and tough. They should not have added it in. The squid were tender and cooked well. There was so much pasta that it can feed 2. My other relatives ordered the Camembert with pork belly. We were expecting a decent size of pork but they thin slices of pork like bacon. The pork skin was tough and not crispy. Wish that they have described it better. The desserts were crème brûlée, tiramisu and chocolate fudge. All of them great. Dinner totaled around $120 euros with a bottle of rose.

Crepes also available late. Everything was ok. Not gourmet or amazing but the hotdogs will fill you up. Good service, the server a Portuguese, was a polyglot who spoke English, Spanish, and of course French and Portuguese. Ambiance was lively, crowded with young pilgrims looking for a fun time.

Hotel du Chateau Fort Restaurant was right across the street from our hotel. We had parking for free on the street about a half a block away. Service was friendly and efficient. They saw when our water carafe was empty and brought a new one. Even though we didn't speak French and they didn't speak much English, we pointed to photos on the menu and pushed through! There's indoor and outdoor seating. A few flies came into the open-air restaurant, but we just waved them away. For lunch, I had the lasagna because it came with a green salad. They gave me a free aperitif because my three friends got one with their set meals. I liked it because it was sweet! For dinner, I ordered the duck since my friend raved about it. He was right! Crispy skin, large portion, and tender, tasty meat! Instead of fries, I got the pasta... yummy! We really enjoyed our visits here and would return if we were 8n the area again.
