We enjoyed the service and the food was amazing. They have choices for Vegetarians and meat dishes, of course, for those who eat meat. The restaurant is located on a narrow cobblestone street with beautiful old style buildings (one of the only streets original to Caen, built prior to WWII, that was not to shelled to oblivion during the fighting between the Nazis and the Allied Forces). We would definitely go again the next time we're in Caen!

It was sunny and there was a light breeze, so we decided to pick the outside seating. It is right next to a street intersection so it was noisy at times, but nevertheless, I love the option to sit outside on a beautiful day. Our server was super nice and spoke English. He was super attentive and consider. For example, when the sun was about to hit part of the table, he moved the water to a shady part so it was kept cool. You don't have to tip so you know the servers genuinely care about the customers. Price wise, it was super affordable. We got the Melba, which was a sweet crepe with strawberry jam, canned peaches, whipped cream, and homemade vanilla ice cream for 7.20 euros. We also got the savory crepe with eggs and tomato (choose your own toppings) for 5.90 euros. My only gripe was that the egg was way undercooked for my taste. Even the egg whites weren't cooked so if you're like me and enjoy a sunny side egg with thoroughly cooked whites, make sure to bring that up.

We were seated just inside at a table under the staircase, and it was fine for me, but for someone taller it might have been a "headache" (no pun intended!) - but there was a lot of running up and down by the staff - apparently the kitchen is upstairs - and you could hear every step just above you. My husband sat across from me in a huge upholstered chair that he said he felt like he'd been "swallowed up" in, and he's not a small guy. He had to really scoot forward in order to get to his plate, and then leaning back was leaning 'far' back, since the chair was too, too roomy. Might have been a loveseat type chair. Anyway, we were seated, but waited a good ten minutes or so before anyone returned to us. We were there about 8pm or so, and things were bustling with a crowded bunch of tables, but scheduling sufficient staff should be considered. The same young lady who sat us ended up waiting on us and we noticed she had one helper (bussing, and pouring water, giving bread, etc.) but that was it. There were probably 15 table or more (many deuces, sure) but that's alot of tables to keep track of for one server. Anyway, once we got ordered and got our wine and appetizers, were relaxed a bit and did enjoy the meal. I had sole meuniere, which was very tasty, and my husband had the scallop brochettes, which he enjoyed. I enjoyed the pear crumble for dessert, and he had spiced pineapple which he didn't care for.
