Went there for a bridal shower where the bride-to-be's gofers (sorry, I meant friends :p) had to put together her wedding decorations. There were eight of us and the store is pretty cramped (there weren't even enough chairs for all of us), but the lady who helped us out was really friendly and had great ideas for our friend.
When you walk in, though, it doesn't look like much, and this being a small place they obviously can't stock everything at all times, so it varies with the seasons (this being wedding season, there was plenty of party favors and other decorative pieces for that type of event, as well as a tableful of pirate-themed birthday decorations).
However, I found out that the trick is to call them in advance and discuss with them what you're looking for in terms of decorations. Our friend's wedding being in October and her wanting autumnal decorations in tune with nature, the staff then found all sorts of different pieces to put together into nice decorations for the wedding (for the chairs, the centerpiece on the buffet, and the basket where all the gifts for the guests would be laid).
And seriously, that woman knows her stuff! She came up with really amazing-looking pieces!
The only thing I'd have to say (and why I've only given 3 stars) is that it was kind of pricy (perhaps was it more expensive because we held this on a Sunday?) and we had to make all of the decorations ourselves right then and there...without having all the right tools. And let me tell you, pushing needles into two chemical-coated cinnamon sticks with just your fingers means you'll lose your homo sapiens privilege of having a workable thumb for at least half the day!
Otherwise, I highly recommend this place, especially if you want custom-made (by you!) decorations that would exactly fit your vision! read more
