Nice ambience, but the food is mediocre at best (overcooked, bland). Service is slow and inattentive. Way too expensive for what you get.

Istra is actually a Croatian restaurant, and they specialize in seasonal grilled seafood and truffle pasta. There is no standard menu - more a choice of 1, 2 or 3 course meal. The star is their fish platter which consisted of grilled fish, grilled calamari and shrimps, over a head of mixed root vegetables. The owners don't speak a lot of English but they were very hospitable. I highly recommend reading through their websites before going so you know what to expect. Now the food. Spectacular is the only word that came to mind. First time we just had the fish platter for 2 and shared between 3 people. A luxurious platter with 2 perfectly pan-fried fish, 2 shrimps in shell and 2 grilled baby calamari on a bed of carrots, squash, zucchini and mushrooms magically turned up at the table. The seasoning is basic but perfect. A complementary basket of bread also came with the meal and house white wine paired very well with the seafood fair. It was so good we went back for lunch again the next day. This time we also ordered their truffle pasta. The white truffle on the pasta was epic - appetizer size was obly €18!! I dare say the same size with black truffle in NY would have put us back at around 30 bucks and nowhere as much truffle that was on the plate. Highly recommend this place if you ever go to Salzburg and wanted something other than the standard Austrian fare.

Istra seafood restaurant was a refuge from all the meat-oriented restaurants during my week trip in Austria. Started with a tuna carpaccio topped with light olive oil, sea salt and fresh ground pepper. Main dish was a fresh white fish grilled to perfection with a side of savory veggies to pair. Meal paired perfectly with Austrian table wine which was recommended by the waiter. Absolutely delicious, wonderful waiter and happy I took my hotels' recommendation to eat at Istra.

We found that weird balance by coming to Seafood Meets Asia. Crispy duck salad: This was what my wife wanted, something clean. There was plenty of duck on it that was well cooked and very surprising for airport food. Cabbage, papaya, green onions, carrots, and dried cranberries Wienerschnitzel: Fried flattened veal, I've actually had great versions of this in Milan. It was slighty soggy but not too bad, again surprising for airport food. Potatoes cooked in clarified butter and tasted great. Bavarian pretzel: Hanging at the counter my wife really it, it was anOK appetizer since it was ready instantly. A bit dry and movie pretzels were better.

For turn n burn traveler they feature everything from ready to eat Deli sandwiches; varying cold cuts n dried meats n cheeses on delicious patisserie style breads with all the trimmings, Asian inspired soups and noodles, pre made salads, a fried salmon burger, a vegetarian burger, and many other items ready to grab, not to mention mouth watering cafe's n late's. You can Self serve on this side and either eat there or grab n go! Today I fall in to the other category of traveler thanks to my little "mishap" Ahem ADVENTURE!!! So on the other side of the house they have a full service area; with wait staff that seats you, takes your order and brings your food just like any other conventional restaurant. It's a cute little trendy sitting area, with tables that sit from two to eight from what I was seeing. Brightly lit and hopin! And yet service is still super quick! The servers greet you quickly, come take your order and everyone seems to help each other in order to get orders out expeditiously! My only hangup today was that I think my order went out to the couple next to me - who came in after me not the any fault of my server, I just think the server that brought it out didn't know! And the woman next to me just happened to have ordered the same salad And this SALAD!!! The Thai shrimp salad WOW!! This SALAD!!! This salad was INCREDIBLE - the greens were a balanced mix of Napa cabbage, frese, and baby romaine; along with shredded carrot, cilantro, and some fried onion flakes and then it was topped with PERFECTLY JUST cooked shrimp, and there were enough of them that I was able to eat my ENTIRE salad and not run out of shrimp!! But what most impressed me about this salad was the fact that they dressed the salad MODESTLY with what was a really nice Thai inspired vinaigrette. Now, had this salad been done in the US I would have been left with a soup in the bottom of my bowl when I was done. This salad was dressed with Just enough to complement the salad, not drown it all to hell! Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. So YUMMY!!! And did I detect just a little bit of Chili garlic sauce in there for a little heat? Oh! And a little fried rice noodles too! I also ordered two Caesar chicken salads for tomorrow's lunch, so if the Thai salad was any indication I have ZERO doubt we will enjoy these as well! So if you are coming thru Munich and happen to be in Terminal 1 near G gates, check out Seafood Sylt Meets Asia!! You WILL enjoy it!!

We came here for dinner during Oktoberfest with a group of 12, and it could not have been a better experience. Pescheria set aside a large table in the back just for us and gave us top-notch service from start to finish. The staff really went above and beyond, giving great recommendations and even arranging a few special dishes from the chef just for our group. We asked if everything could be served family style so we could all share, and they delivered perfectly. Some of the highlights were the seafood risotto, the seafood sampler towers, the fresh oysters, and the fish dishes. We ordered four large fish for the table, and the star of the night was the turbot. It was prepared with a special two-step cooking process, first steamed and deboned, then fried to perfection. 10/10 The wine program was also fantastic. We went through several magnum bottles of red and white, and the staff expertly paired them with each course. Everything about the night felt relaxed, delicious, and celebratory. If you're in Munich and love seafood, especially with a group, Pescheria is a must visit. Highly recommend!

Go inside to find a spot to sit (be warned: the seat is a cushioned cylindrical bar but nevertheless comfortable enough to sit) or outside (there are chairs) to people-watch at the V-markt, take a look at limited selections (at the counter/in the restaurant/at the menu), and order with the waiter. I use limited here in the highest regard as they focus on making their dishes as delectable as possible. Case in point, we had the octopus and sepia salads, and both were flavorful with good amount of meat. Even though spaghetti with seafood is more pasta than seafood, the quality of the seafood (clams, bits of lobsters, sepia, etc.) was high. With a glass of their "Blanc de Blanc," we were at peace amidst a hectic environment. Prices were fair for what we got, so that's a win-win! Sadly, the only fail was their one dessert (we wanted to stay there longer that day...). Their creme brulee was served cold and a little stale, but who cares when the fish are so fresh? I walked out of there feeling relieved that I found my seafood haven.

HORRIFIC service and terrible food. What more is there to say? Stay far away from this place…read more I'm a Managing Director of an important corporation. My travels have taken me from living in 4 continents over 10 years, to working various projects in over 30 cities worldwide. What's my point? It took this horrific restaurant experience to persuade me to open up a Yelp account and, for the first time, share. I was persuaded to visit this "restaurant" by the Yelp reviews. I'm currently living in Malaga, Spain a port city known for its seafood. I've also lived in other port cities in Qingdao, China and Old San Juan in Puerto Rico. So I know and appreciate good seafood. Their seafood is the akin to KFC or McDonalds. Which, coincidentally, is where the owner of the restaurant suggested we go to after complaining of not having food, more water or an opportunity to order a bottle of wine after over an hour. They didn't even have many people in the place! This pre-Madona thinks he's running NOBU in NYC (my hometown), but I can wholeheartedly say he's got nothing to brag about. The food is terrible, not even mediocre. With an attitude like this, first, your food has to be amazing. If you're in Paris, NYC, or Tokyo and are willing to subject yourself to abuse for, known/famous, ritzy restaurants then I won't judge you. But to be subjected to terrible service and ridiculous waiting times for terrible (not fresh) seafood, then you're a masochist. In my opinion they might as well be serving Zika.
