I ordered the pork and octopus skewers, and the wife and I shared their apple cheese pie The skewers were fantastic and both were placed on a bed of a well thought out vegetable accompaniment. The pork on pickled onions, kind of like a different spin on poc chuc (Yucatan style pork chops), was not overcooked and lightly seasoned. The octopus tentacles on roasted potatoes, were surprisingly thick but they managed somehow to keep them from being overly rubbery. They were drizzled with a tangy sauce. The cheese pie was decadent and very tasty. It was like a fluffier deconstructed cheese cake. One Tulum has a more contemporary look than most of the other restaurants on the main drag in Tulum. This isn't necessarily a good or bad thing for me, but if it makes you feel a little comfortable, then this may be an additional plus. The service was superb.

The restaurant had a cute decor and had both the options of more traditional meals, tapas, and Mexican food. We ordered a delicious guacamole (traditional, with chunky pieces of ripe avocado, onion tomatoes, cilantro) and got what appeared to be freshly baked bread with a garlic sauce that was to die for for free! We were basically full before our food even came. We ordered the fish and chicken main dishes, and requested both with mashed potatoes and veggies. The veggies were great esp with the garlic sauce they provided for the bread and the chicken and fish were also very well seasoned and prepared. Not a huge fan of the mashed potatoes which was ironically why I picked the dish but the rest of the meal was so yummy we didn't care!

We were drooped off around the corner from the place which was sketch but it was fine. We did not buy VIP tickets so we stood in line for awhile and the people watching on that street was great! There was also a large police presence driving the streets with large ..instruments.. in case people were rowdy. Once we got in the it was PACKED. Think like a Vegas night club but then they start doing awesome aerial acrobatics ! We saw a Magic-Mike-esque show, a burlesque portion, Beetlejuice, 60s rockers and it was fantastic. I guess you could get free hot dogs and drinks (we only got a couple of drinks) but it was fun. Because we didn't get VIP they rotate general admission every 5 mins which gets annoying but my husband paid a waiter $20 and he got us in VIP. in between the shows it was like a regular club and it was so cool! We unfortunately had to leave early so we didn't see the whole show but I'm sure it still would have been so fun! Just be prepared to be stuffed in like a

I've never left a bad review in my life but I feel like it's imperative to make sure the same thing…read moredoesn't happen to future tourists! We came to Beso with high hopes.... absolutely beautiful ambiance and the menu looked divine. My husband and parents and I went on a Tuesday night so it was very slow... we were one of two parties in the whole joint. The food was good! Not our favorite but definitely authentic and good. We all ordered drinks, an appetizer and main courses and dessert. When we first sat, they brought table bread that we didn't request but ate because, duh, so when it was gone they replenished it with a second basket as most restaurants do. We didn't even think that this could be anything but complimentary. After eating, we moved outside to the lounge area and the server brought over 4 unsolicited shots of brandy with cinnamon. I'm pregnant so thanked them for their generosity but sent it back. We figured since it was so slow the staff was bored and wanted to have some fun and send some drinks/get a bigger tip. My husband and I went home before my parents so weren't able to look over the bill. The next day we were told the tab was over $500 USD! I thought that sounded insane, it was good but not $500 USD good. They showed us the receipt and they charged for EVERYTHING that we didn't even ask for! The complimentary table bread, INCLUDING the refill, charged. The complimentary brandy shots that we never asked for or alluded to wanting, including the fourth that was sent back!!!!, charged!! It needs to be reiterated we never asked for any of these things and nowhere on the menu does it say anything about bread the cost of it. We went and looked at the menu the next morning because the entree prices looked more expensive on the receipt and sure enough, they had inflated the food prices as well. We would've really enjoyed this place but feel so taken advantage of. Yes: my parents could've said something but they don't know a lick of Spanish so how would they have argued a bill? They took advantage of a group of tourists they know they could pull one over on and it worked. I would've given 4 stars probably but this is unacceptable behavior in any restaurant in any part of the world.

It's not on the beach but it is gorgeous inside. The live music was great. The place settings were perfect. However we came on thanksgiving and it was completely empty. It's such a big space that it felt weird to be the only ones there especially with so many staff hanging around. This brings me to my next rating... 2. Staff: 5 Stars. If I could rate a restaurant on our waiter alone it would have 5 stars. I think his name was Daniel and he was perfect. He spoke great English and was very attentive. He also tried to steer us with honest advice about what to order. I only wish we'd listened to him. Great man! 3. Food: 1.5/5 Ugh. I'll start at the beginning. We order the mussels first. They were cooked well but lacked flavor and had barely any broth. They needed salt, bread and basically a makeover. Very underwhelming. 2.5/5. Next we had the belly taco which Daniel warned us not to get. TAKE THIS OFF THE MENU. We thought it would be pork belly, but it was rock hard fried pork intestines that tasted like burned moon rock. My bf spit it out. Gross! 0 Stars. Last we had fried avocado. It was good and the only thing resembling real food... but it's also a fried avocado so if you mess that up you honestly are just an idiot. 3 Stars. Total that comes to 3.5 stars, but since this was our special thanksgiving dinner and we ended up having to go to another restaurant just to have an edible dinner, I rounded down. Hope you guys can figure your stuff out as this place could be amazing.

This is wild- it's part disco, part dance club, part show. They play loud, loud music, and every third or fourth song or so, every 15-20 minutes, they do a show- someone comes in dressed as The Mask, or Beetlejuice, or Captain Jack Sparrow, and they do a musical dance number and everyone goes insane. It's open bar. But all the drinks are pretty bad. The beer- Tecate Light poured from caguamas. I'd never heard of the rotgut tequila. You apparently have the option to get a bottle and a table for a few thousand pesos. Party next door for warmup at the Oxxo or Senior Frog's. The staff were all friendly, and acted like they loved their job, and had seen it all. My favorite thing was that the urinals were in the shape of mouths. The decor is amazing. The shows were fantastic. I had an amazing time. I can't wait to go back! I've never paid a cover this high, but the costumes, the cleanliness, the professional friendly staff, everything felt safe, even though there was massive amounts of booze being consumed.

It is very crowded and cramped which isn't necessarily a bad thing but if you don't like crowds then do not go here. They tried to sell us a table many times. I don't know how much extra a table would have been but it was fun being in the main area. The servers are carrying trays full of drinks through the crowds like champs! One thing that I liked is that they let you leave and come back. It can be sensory overload so stepping away for a bit broke up the evening, They gad music that appealed to everyone and the shows were great. I didn't like being asked if I wanted a table though ten times!
