We've been here a few times on our annual trip to Coffs Harbour and this place never fails to impress us! The best mexican food we've had! A great atmosphere - they even give you sombreros! The staff are extremely friendly and the owner is very welcoming. The food is delicious! We've never had a bad meal and the chocolate nachos are absolutely amazing!! The service was quite attentive, but the food itself while fresh, is pretty far from authentic. It's passable as a general purpose dinner place at Emerald Beach given that it is one of three places to eat at, but it really isn't a lot more. We ordered guacamole and chips (fresh, but missing salt and lime entirely), a couple of soggy burritos, and a plate of ribs that while generous, came out more boiled than grilled, covered in large chunks of chopped up tomato, and drenched in an overly sweet honey sauce. The margarita seemed like a fairly unambitious margarita mix poured over tequila. The food isn't bad per-se, it's just a hard pass if you're used to authentic Mexican food, or are craving some. read more
