I have found the best shoe store in Paris. I repeat, I have found the best shoe store in Paris!…read moreIt's almost too good to be true, but it's not, since I have the boots on my feet to prove it! Ok, imagine a shop that sells a tight-selection of super stylish, comfortable shoes, from boots and strappy heels to slip on flats and chunky pumps at affordable prices. Already, I've got you hooked right? Now add to that the fact that all of the shoes are made in Paris in an atelier in the 11th. Not only is that impressive, but so outrageously rare. Aside from super exclusive artisans creating custom shoes that cost a month's rent, it's impossible to find locally-made shoes at real-people prices. Now, as if that weren't enough, get ready for the icing on the cake. ALL of the models can be customized for no extra fee at all. So, if you love that pair of peep-toe pumps but want them in emerald green in stead of pink, Taher Mardini can make that happen for you. I took advantage of the sales and bought myself the perfect pair of black boots at 30% off the ticket price. They are amazingly beautiful and super comfortable and cost 1/4 of the price of a pair of designer boots made who knows where in the world. I'm totally eying a pair of ankle books that I plan on ordering in one of the 50 or so different colors that you could choose from. Never owned a pair of red boots and I think that I totally need that experience in my life. Oh, I forgot to mention that they'll also recreate a pair of your favorite beat up shoes for you too! How insane is that?! Thanks to Taher Mardini we can now make all of our shoe fantasies come true!

I walked around the store for five minutes in the left foot of a pair of tan, flat (yay!), suede boots with a zip (essential for wearing with jeans) and cute little fasteners in the back. They were only 30€, but I couldn't figure out if I was buying them because I liked them, or because that's such a good deal for suede boots. Sooo after I requested the right boot to take to the cash register, I decided I was too tired to make a decision and I just left. Don't know if I should run back there in a panic or not. I enjoyed this place a lot more than the last time. There seemed to be much better prices. I like that the store is arranged by size.

My French is VERY limited, although I can understand an ok amount since I'm familiar with other romance languages. This sucks when you can understand what they're saying, but can't respond in kind. None of the employees spoke English but they were nice and brought out other pairs of boots for me to look at. I found a pair that I liked at a great price, maybe €25. If I find myself in that part of Paris again, I'd stop by again to look for more deals.

Well I just don't believe it...over the many years I have visited and worked in Paris...just go to…read moreany shoe shop and try and buy anything over size 45! Good luck...and if you find a pair, the likelihood is it won't be the pair you actually want. I'm 11 UK, sometimes 12 depending on the shape, make... By pure chance we were in the Marais after lunch at Le Marché and heading back when we saw a Braderie ahead...so we wandered over and took a look...at which point I looked up and saw this shop. We went in They stock from 47 and on up...big name makes, Under Armour, Timberland etc...trainers, shoes, walking shoes, boots. Not only that, they have seriously nice tops from XXL (me) and on up...Ts, shirts. The interesting make for me was Faguo... French, they make nice, stylish shoes and you can find them at Citadium & Galleries Lafayette; I have often found trainers, shoes and half boots that I would like but virtually nothing over 45. They told me they don't make them...but here they are - I was just bought a summer trainer for a present, a 47...so how does that happen. I don't care, he said he will get the half boot next winter and email me And - having said that - they are not fleecing you with the prices Nice, friendly, speaking very good English too This is a place I will return to for sure
