It is a relatively new business which has been built up over the years by the Bautista family. The converted cortijo now houses the reception desk and a fine restaurant and bar offering the most delicious, freshly cooked foods and a range of fine wines and spirits. Booking is advisable. The actual campsite is situated off the beaten track and has the usual facilities offered by such an establishment. There is also an albergue (hostal) for parties and cabins for rent. There is no onsite shop but the village of Jérez del Marquesado is nearby offering typica Spanish supermarkets and a bakery. Various outdoor activities eg walking, horse trekking, climbing etc can be booked at reception. I can well recommend this campsite and restaurant.

There are mixed tastes like the Crujiente de Mar y Tierra, a creamy mixture of prawns and mushrooms accompanied by a crunchy tempura like largish thin cookie... The tapa which is very popular is the Asado Argentino, a thin tasty cut of beef accompanied by two sauces, chimichurri and criolla. The tapas are mostly included in the price of the drink. The house wines are great and so are the nice cold beers. Service is super. Stilo has become so popular i always attempt to get there by opening time either at 2pm or 8pm.

The dining area is in a charming traditional house. The food was incredible! La Tapa specializes in cassoulets and pates, and includes several vegetarian options as well as game specialties. We enjoyed the broad bean and ham cassoulet with a side of potatoes as well as an olive pate. It all sounds simple but was executed perfectly, and the chef is warm and lovely. The meal will be slow but that gives you plenty of time to savor it!
