This is a quick service counter that offers coffees, smoothies, desserts, grilled sandwiches, and treats. I have not had any of the beverages; but my coworkers have and have enjoyed. A lot of their sandwiches are premade and are stored in the front cooler. They are then grilled in front of you. A couple that I like are: "Grilled Cheese" -- Brie Cheese and Bacon - Yummy "Veggie Sandwich" - a bun full of veggies and cheese - ok I have bought a lot of their banana and poppy seed take and go cake slices. They are pretty good, and are great for staving off the mid afternoon munchies. One evening I swung by for a slice of cake to go. It was a bit of a let down because it had been sitting in the refridgerated cooler for a few days and had dried out. Next time I know not to pick a cake with only a few slices left. Overall, its a decent place, and the grilled cheese is above average. I have and will repeat again. I'm giving it three stars just because there's another sandwich spot nearby that I would rate higher.

Both lattes are not caffeinated and absolutely the most delicious, some of the best we have had. The apple caramel fog was one of the most unique drinks I have had in my life. I don't even like caramel but this was so good. It was like a caramel apple or apple caramel pie in drink form. I cannot recommend it enough. It's absolutely worth coming out here just for this. Unfortunately, I think I received a regular matcha or they didn't hear me say "aux bleuets" because there was no blueberry in sight or in flavour It was also a bit too watery for me perhaps because I opted to try it with coconut milk since the almond or oat milk options came with a 50 cent additional charge. I'd pass on this. However the redeeming quality was their matcha raspberry muffin! It was a 5/5 and probably the best vegan muffin I've had (or even muffin in general). It had the perfect moistness and texture with bits of raspberry and chocolate chips. Though it was a bit more pricy at $4.75, the quality was amazing and I'd love to go back and try some of their other baked goods. Overall, a very quaint spot attached to Astoria Bistro and located by many offices, I'd say their vegan baked goods would seem to be the highlight.

Savoir Fare is a little takeout shop that sells prepared foods made by the students in the Hospitality and Tourism program at Algonquin College. The bakery section is called The Honour Roll. I love the play on words with the names, lol. Selection varies from week to week and their menu is listed on their website. Some weeks they are closed for exams, so make sure you check their website before going. They sell items like lasagna, Shepherd's pie, chicken vindaloo, bean chili, teriyaki chicken and meatloaf. The bakery has items like meringues, biscotti, pantone, croissants, lemon meringue pie and marshmallows. I have pretty much tried their entire menu, except their Florentine cookies, those are always sold out, lol. My favourite items are their choux pastries, Nanaimo bars, and danishes. I do prefer their baked goods over their savoury dishes. It's always a bit of a gamble because sometimes the items are delicious, but sometimes they are not so great. It's made by students after all and they are still learning. I love that the money from the sales go back into the program to help students. Prices are cheap compared to at the grocery store or restaurants. I love this store. However, their hours are very limited. When I used to work in the area, I'd pop by at lunch all the time, but now that I work far away, I can only manage to get out there either on a day off work or if I happen to be working offsite nearby. I miss being a regular. The store is on campus, so it's paid on-campus parking only. Or you can park on the streets and walk over. So for the record, I created a listing for Savoir Fare in Feb 2020 and wrote a review and uploaded a bunch of photos. Sometime in 2022 or 2023 someone changed the name of that listing to a Tim Hortons, despite the fact that all pictures and the review under that listing are of Savoir Fare. The Yelp moderators approved the change. I have since submitted multiple requests to change it back to Savoir Fare and the Yelp moderators rejected my submissions.
