The tour manager recommended we travel into the old town center. I found this restaurant through Yelp and their Rosti varieties plus the food quality are exactly what I needed for a lunch stop. The Rosti did not disappoint. Full disclaimer: Rosti can be a bit heavy with the cooking process that can include butter along with some bacon. Yes, the Rosti had the expected greasy texture, but just enough to make it savory without overpowering the various ingredients. I would recommend this restaurant if you are interested in trying the traditional Rosti dish in several varieties.

When I complained and said it's unacceptable, the waiter asked do we want a table inside? Lol, so now you have space but before you didn't! The waiter just shrugged and said it's normal when you have apartments above! Absolutely disgusting attitude and rude treatment of paying customers! We left without finishing our contaminated food! The chef came by each table and said hello and was very kind, the waiter tolerated my brother who always has a special order. Didn't even laugh at us when we asked for cold glass of milk with our dessert, which most Europeans would. We saw the food that a large group was having it seemed it was specially made for them, but they were nice enough to make it for us too. The waiter saw me stealing potatoes off of my brother's plate, and brought us an extra side plate of potatoes. I always enjoyed the 19 CHF plat du jour of the day, but I didn't know you also had a lunch set menu for those with a larger appetite. For only 35CHF you provided me with a delicious appetiser, main dish, and dessert. My stomach was happily full for the remainder of the day. TIP: Other people also love Esquisse at lunch, so definitely be sure to make a reservation in advance. They have a little outdoor seating area on nice days that you can enjoy.
