First off, don't sit out front, no matter how nice the night is. Don't sit in the bar area, not even if your favorite football team is playing on the TV. Instead, go sit in the cellar room in the back. You'll be seated between giant sidra caskets, with an ancient giant apple press in the middle of the room. The setting is just amazing. Secondly, the food... I don't think you can go wrong here. The Picos region is known for its cheeses, and the cheese plate here was spectacular. Try the local cabrales if you're a moldy cheese fan. It doesn't get any moldier than this. Thirdly, the service. I think they only put the best servers in the back. These guys don't kid around when it comes to pouring sidra. It's a fantastic thing to watch. They will only pour just a mouthful at a time, and hand you the glass directly. They never set it on the table. They are friendly, jovial, and extremely attentive. If you're ever passing thru Cangas, stay off the main drag and stop into this place for a dining experience.

Yes, you can walk up here from Cangas de Onis (Puente Romano), but it's uphill, so spring the 7€ for a cab to take you up. I do suggest the walk down back to Cangas, because it'sBEAUTIFUL as well as will help you digest!!. Ok, the food. We literally come here every day they are open, (we have stayed in that tiny town or Cangas) because not only is the regular menu amazing with multiple choices of traditional Asturian cooking, the chef is beyond talented and creative and has infused his talent into woks, sushi, and other specials, which may only be available THAT day. (I suggest you follow on Instagram or Facebook). Wine selection is above par - they have all ranges to fit your price range, and every bottle, including the least expensive is amazing. The sommelier knows exactly what she's doing - and compliments each dish her brother and mother (chefs) do. This family place is just incredible.
