Firstly the location is pretty awesome on the main promenade road coming up to the cathedral on the side that connects to Centre de Jaude. If it's a nice evening, sit outside as there is usually lots of action coming and going up and down the street. On both occasions my meals were really flavorful, tasty, plentiful and very filling. Meal one I had the house salad. It was fresh and delish. Then the linguine Carbonara with lardons. Meal two I had exactly the same things (minus the salad) as it was decadently amazing! See here folks, in North America Linguine Carbonara is the creamy/gluey variety. In Europe, great Carbonara is lightly creamy with salted lardons and 100X better than versions I've had on my side of the pond. To top it all off there was a egg yolk in the middle. Seriously heavenly. On the second visit I was with a lively group and we drank 4 bottles of Valadas cotes de Provence rose wine. Delicious! Overall a solid meal and I look forward to returning again one day!

I sought refuge there on many a cold night, and the warm glow of the orange/red lamps and friendly service never failed to lift my spirits. Cosy warm home like - eaterias don't come better than this. Beware of the huge portions, though - I ended up ordering from the children's menu unless I was famished. And don't feed the leftovers to Simba, the friendly labrador - he has been put on a diet!
