The warm pita with yummy spread was a great start. I had the chicken shawarma with babaganouj. The pickle added a twist of flavor that I am not use to but it was great. The babaganouj was good too. I also tried the lebanese iced tea. I had several glasses. I thought the service was great. The primary server made a banana cake and brought out samples for everybody. So good. So La Mia used to be one of the best Lebanese restaurants around. Sadly, what I wasn't aware of when my wife and I came here last (and for the last time) is that they changed owners in November of 2017. We sat down and ordered iced tea. They brought out iced tea, with no ice, stating that they don't serve it with ice as the ice waters it down. So I insist for some ice as I prefer my drinks cold. She comes back and says "Well actually our ice machine is broken. But somebody just ran out to get some bags of ice so I'll have ice soon." Who waits to go buy ice for a restaurant until a customer surprisingly asks for ice for their drink. Then we had Saganaki, which was good, but how can you screw up melted cheese really. They brought out pita and garlic spread which I have always loved. The pita was easily a week old as it was hard. The garlic spread was way overly heavy with lemon. I couldn't eat it. I had the chicken schwarma sandwich with a side of hummus and my wife had a small chicken schwarma salad. The chicken on both sucked. It was obvious that it was pre-cooked and then barely re-warmed. It was dry and lacked seasoning, whereas it used to be prepared for every dish and it was super moist. My wife's salad was very small. A small there used to be like a normal places large, it was now like a side salad and they drenched it with dressing, and the dressing had barely any seasoning, it was mainly just oil. The hummus that I had was off. I can't exactly say what was wrong with it, but it was gross and I couldn't eat but 1 bite, with my stale pita. It's sad that this place changed owners and has obviously gone straight down the gutter. It used to be my number 1 Lebanese restaurant in the area, no more though. read more

I actually just signed up for Yelp to recommend this restaurant. It's fabulous. The portions are filling, the food tastes better than Lebanese spots charging x3 the price. I really like La Mia. Again I can't base this off their service because I always order take out. Usually food takes about 15 minutes and when you pick up your order there is always fresh baklava in your face that you're tempted to buy only one piece. We went to this place for the first time about 8 months ago, there are so many middle eastern restaurants around us that it took a while to get to it. I'm sorry it took so long! Right now this is by far our favorite restaurant. The owner is awesome, recognizes us, and always says hello. We are on a low-carb diet and she has accommodated us 100% with no extra fuss about it like other restaurants do. Even the regular wait staff is helpful and friendly. My apologies this is not the restaurant we ordered from. Cannot seem to delete this review unfortunately. This was intended for la mia pizza, not the middle eastern la mia. This restaurant used to have decent food. I don't know what happened but we ordered the chicken parmesan and a sandwich, and they were both so bad we threw both in the trash. I don't know if it was basil or thyme, but it was so strong in the red sauce the entire dishes were overpowered by it. The food was bitter and just plain disgusting. Overall this place was pretty good and I would try it again. I came with my parents and we decided to order family style. Right off the bat, warm pita and garlic dip were brought out - so addicting and good!! The dip was a little saltier than usual but still yummy. We ordered the lunch size lamb chops entree which came with 4 pieces. The chops were a little smaller than expected, but were cooked well. I did personally wish there was more flavoring/seasoning but my dad liked it. We also got the chicken ghallabi entree (sp?) The chicken was tender and it was full of veggies - but it was definitely more tart than spicy. For sides, we had the baba ghanouj, tabouli and lentil soup (for Desis out there, it was basically daal.) we enjoyed it all, especially with the generous amount of pita served at the beginning. Also had a constantly full cup of the Lebanese iced tea which they were nice enough to pack to-go as well. Would def recommend trying this as it's not sweet but still refreshing and flavorful. The servers did not seem angry like they just finished the season finally of breaking bad. They seemed more like they just started watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Came here today for a quick bite with a couple girlfriends. Big mistake. We walked in and was not greeted at all so we decided to seat ourselves. Shortly later we were greeted by a very unpleasant waitress. You could tell she could care less about what we wanted. I ordered Lebanese salad and got fattoush salad. She never said anything. I asked for lemons for my drink and she rolled her eyes and walked away. Here's the best part- she walked by said "here's your check" threw it on the table and walked away. Disappointed!! I usually come in and get a carry out for lunch and the food is outstanding. Fresh, and tasty. Last night my family and I went in for dinner. Why would it be any different? One table in the restaurant and apparently you are allowed to bring in your own alcohol now cause they were all drinking 40's. The waitress, who btw was not only a slob, but also completely mental, attempted to take our order. All we wanted was to order our food. She proceeded to pick up my one year old daughter without my permission. Wtf!! She then took half our tables order and walked away. This time the chicken was rubbery. Looked like the chicken was pre cooked and then microwaved. So as we finished eating my mom just felt like taking her salad home and eating later. OMG this was such a fabulous out of the way place. It was recommended by the front desk at our hotel and all the local knew about it. I had the chicken shawarma plate and it was fantastic. My co-worker had a shawarma plate also and loved it. The place is quite large and was nicely decorated. Service was a little slow but we got in late and arrived about 30 minutes before closing so they were trying to get cleaned up. The mint tea I had was also delicious. I am obsessed with this place. It's funny, because it's my friend's aunt's restaurant and I had always made a mental note to check it out over the years and finally got around to it last week. I went for the first time last Saturday and couldn't stop thinking about it all week. Had it again last night (Thursday). I think I'm going to be a new regular! Everything I've tried has been so delicious and flavorful! When you walk in (if you get lucky) you are greeted by the very friendly and outgoing Christina. She will ask you if you want to try their opa! Trust me, you do! Their complimentary pita is warm and fresh and the garlic dip is perfect in every way. I could fill up on just the starters! I'm a huge fattoush salad lover. I recommend adding the grilled chicken and feta if you want to make a meal out of it. The fattoush dressing is perfect and lemony. I love it. I've also tried chicken schwarma wrap and chicken cream chop wrap. Both were excellent and flavorful, though I think I preferred the schwarma because of the grilled crispy bread. My friend got the chicken kabob dinner over rice and really enjoyed it. All three of us in my party are Lebanese enthusiasts and agreed this was our favorite Lebanese restaurant. One of my local go to spots for a shawarma , love their take on the sauce they use and how crispy the pita is. They give u free bread and garlic spread careful not to fill up on that.
