Promptly approached by server Harumy, quickly provided with a hot carafe of coffee and condiments. The ambiance is clean, cheerful, and inviting. There is music but it isn't too loud. I ordered the mini-monkey bread (pictured), essentially a biscuit dappled with cinnamon sugar streusel. I didn't love it; I thought it tasted too salty. Still, I finished it so it couldn't have been that bad! I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla (eggs, chiles, cheese, onions, drizzled with avocado cream and served with red salsa), which was very good. Harumy checked on me, and brought the check promptly. You pay at the counter, not directly to the server. I would have given 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't enable this, so I rounded up to 5 stars. Definitely give Bluebird Cafe a try!

The potatoes were not cooked. We were never checked on again. Then the check came, but the extra bacon I ordered "to go" had not arrived. So she went to get that. We paid at the front with the hostess. It was an extra $5 for 2 pieces of bacon. $2.50 per slice. Is that inflation or price gouging? This is the first time in my life I have never left a tip. I'm usually a really good tipper. And I feel bad about it, but I also want to be taken care of in order to give a tip for good service. This was not good service and the food was mediocre. My friend had the chocolate mint + whey protein. I typically always go for dragonfruit so I had the Pink Rose. Both smoothies were absolutely phenomenal!! The person working at the register was SO sweet and helpful. Quick service. They have super cute decor and seating. I'll report back again once I try their lunch-the menu looks tasty. Last time I wanted a nondairy, sugar free 'fireside latte' but they didn't have the sugar free toasted marshmallow syrup in stock, so the barista suggested another flavor which I cannot remember now since it's been a few weeks but it was a perfect option (maybe SF s'mores?) and made one of the best lattes I've had. I didn't take the time to brew coffee this morning in the midst of packing up the car, getting the garbage into the bear proof container -and doing the dishes and starting a load of towels per the instructions for departure at our Airbnb. We pulled up to the drive-in speaker with the menu board. I already knew that I wanted a mocha with a shot of espresso. That is what I ordered. The young lady advised me that the 20 ounce mocha came with three shots of espresso and asked if I wanted a fourth- which I declined. Thank goodness they know what they are doing! We drove up to the window and the employee there was very pleasant. It was a little over six dollars so certainly competitive in the coffee arena here. My mocha was tall and caffeinated!!!! Just what I needed. Great little place-- they definitely had breakfast and snack offerings! Start your morning here!
