They are carrying a new type of raw bar called a Roo Bar and selling them individually the same price the company sells them buy the box (you're getting a bulk rate for individual bars!). Unfortunately they package their spices in tiny plastic bags; I hope they will eventually transition into a full-on bulk store.

After doing a ton of research online, there are now keto-friendly breads sugar substitutes like munkfruit sugar and erythritol and rice and noodle substitutes like Shirataki Konjac rice or Konjac noodles, made from a Japanese tuber named Konjac which is very low in carbs. OK now I know what to get but where to get it without breaking the bank at specialty health food stores? I found a lot of keto dry ingredients at other places but keto bread and rice was still hard to find at an affordable rate. Well, I found the best prices for Konjac products here at Rachelle Bery. I also found frozen keto-friendly bread here which I haven't found anywhere else. I saw a lot of other specials here to like Veggie Stix snacks. Going keto doesn't have to mean going bankrupt but at least now, I know where I can find some options.

I would pick up any other item from their menu if I'm not feeling particularly choosy that day. It'll do the trick. According to my tastebuds, they take the crown for the zaatar pizza. Delicious dough, the right thickness and size but most importantly the zaatar mix itself. That right amount of sumac and perhaps other ingredients are used which dictates my judgment for this food. A warning tho, you have to advise them not to crisp your pizzas. If you don't like them well done, just ask them not to do so or otherwise they will. Looks like it's their standard way of baking the zaatar. Not for me, I don't like my zaatar slightly burnt. I tried almost all other well known bakeries in Laval and Montreal that sell zaatar along with other similar Lebanese/Syrian specialties and the closest one that comes to Najah's zaatar is the hole in the wall Arax bakery on Samson street. A runner up worth giving a try also. As for their sweets.... hmmm, I personally don't come to these type of bakeries for sweets. It's not their main specialty so it could be a hit or miss taste experience and also, freshness will play a major role. They have a small vitamin/supplement area, very cramped, and someone sits there to help, but they are friendly. The store is cramped and there is always someone in the way of someone else. The atmosphere of that store is so great, it can be forgiven. It is not perfect, but you can tell they try. That makes all the difference. Returning items is not easy. Bulk organic coffee is the best price. The bulk organic olive oil is always going empty also a good deal. Bulk organic nuts and seeds. Sometimes I try shopping at other stores to see if I can get a better deal without suffering and the answer is no.
