Guillaume is the best host--so welcoming and full of great local tips that really helped us enjoy Bordeaux like locals. We regularly arrange to visit wineries globally, but never do an organized tour. I am so glad we did this tour of 3 wineries "Chateau" with Rudolph. Each Chateau was inviting, very different and all very worthwhile. Rodolphe recommended 3 restaurants in Pauillac - we had lunch at Lafayette which was a delight. We could see the steeple of one of the city's biggest churches out of our skylight window, which was absolutely beautiful. There was nice natural light and air conditioning in the room, plus all the amenities you would expect. The staff were very kind and helped us arrange a last minute tour of Saint-Émilion. One of my favorite meals in Bordeaux was a place they recommended for dinner (Charlotte). We also loved the location, close to public transportation but outside of the busyness of downtown. It was nice to rent bikes and check out La Cité du Vin, downtown, and the other side of the Garonne river. There are also great breakfast spots and restaurants just outside the door.
