The inside is a display of lots of traditional Arabic sweets and things to take home to your own kitchen. They offer a variety of shawarma sandwiches and plates, as well as pita sandwiches. The food is average and decent for a quick bite and cute ambiance. I would say their shawarma's are really overpriced for what they are and I wouldn't recommend the arabic style coffee (very watered down). However, this place is great on a warm day if you want to sit outside and grab something quick and decent. The service was also average, nothing over the top, but nothing really to complain about either. They have lunch specials that include one of their shawarmas with a small salad and drink, again I would say very overpriced for the quality and quantity.

The bakery location is off one of the main streets, there's not much ambience and the chairs are metal material so not much to lounge on for an enjoyable lunch/snack. Reading prior reviews I picked up on the customer service, they are not the friendliest just very business like, place your order, pay, sit and get out. I think they have a heavy catering section and make their dollars there. I happy to say that they did have a variety of empanadas to choose from and they also had a "grab and go" section. Not sure what their pricing is for these grab containers but I'm sure if you worked around the area this bakery could be convenient for lunch. The empanadas were nice but there's more options to choose from.

The owners, a mother and daughter team, are super friendly and always chatting to their customers and helping them pick out the perfect treat to satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth. Not only do they have beautiful and delicious pastries, but they also serve rich, quality coffee. A must-have during these cold winter days. I recommend their tiramisu or lemon pie - to die for!! Because this pastry and coffee shop is so new and family run, they are still working out their hours and close early or randomly because of either paperwork they need to sort out or other problems. To make sure you aren't left with a Quequería su señora craving, check their FB page to make sure they are open, or give them a call before you head over. This place is literally an art factory of yumminess. I cake I had was a mixture of mil hojas (a thousand layers) and a crunchy oreo like chocolate layering. The frosting was rich and fluffy. If I hadn't been at a work party I probably would have helped myself to about 5 pieces of it. The shop is very small and located in an isolated part of Los Condes. I wouldn't have even known it existed as it is not located on any of the main streets. However just look it up, not close to any metro line but I'm sure a bus/walking would get you there. The inside of the shop is very sweet. Not a place to sit down and eat, it seems like it's all things to take with you.

Café Colonia is one of my favorite pastry shops downtown. Their two different cafes on Mac Iver…read moreremind me of Hansel and Gretle's home (or something you would find in the Swiss Alpes). Its wooden roof, large windows and warm interior is especially enticing, convincing you to come in, sit down and drink a cup of coffee with a delicious one of their pastries. The women who work there are super friendly, and the outfits they wear also go with the theme of the cafe. They are quick to help you pick between the many different options and are quick at serving it - even during the busy lunch or once hour. I recommend their buttercream vanilla cake (the frosting is thick and very buttery). Also, they have a delicious lucuma cake that makes my mouth water just thinking about it - their frosting is my favorite part of the cake and I usually eat it by the finger-full. However, my all time favorite is their chocolate cake (in fact, after the Chile-Brazil game, I walked over and picked one up for myself to drown my sorrows -- it is that good!). The cake itself is moist and the chocolate mousse in the middle gives it the perfect chocolatey texture and taste to satisfy even the most passionate chocolate lover. Their cakes are perfect to order for birthdays (call before to order ahead of time and get it personalized) They also have mini personal cakes (that are fairly cheap: $1.700/each) they are great to pick up quickly to let someone know you were thinking about them or better yet, a personal treat for yourself!
