Was in the area and craving good ice cream. One of my favorite things. I'm very picky and love unique flavors. This place didn't disappoint at all with either one . Found it place on Yelp. It was a bit of a distance away, hesitated, but based on other reviews decided to take the trip. Why not it was a beautiful (weather wise) evening outside with nothing to rush home for. It's fairly easy to find as it's right in middle of the plaza. People were sitting outside eating and talking. Inside is not very big although it looks like before COVID they had some seating. I saw tables and chairs packed up on the side. Speaking of, glad to see all the workers put on a new pair of gloves after serving each person. They kept the line moving so the wait wasn't long. I saw people ordering authentic Mexican food/treats but I don't recall the name of them at this moment. Now about the ice cream. It's hard to see the board or flavors until you get up close. It's quite a bit of flavors to choose from. They have standard flavors like cookies n cream. However, many are traditional Mexican flavors that you won't see in a regular ice shop like tequila for example. You can sample before deciding as I did but didn't make my decision much easier as they were all so delicious. Decided on Rose which actually tasted just like one if you can imagine that. Can't remember the name of the second one (the top scoop). Both had the perfect consistency of flavor and texture with every lick. I made it an extra treat by getting it in a waffle cone inside of a cup. So glad I did for three reasons 1. melted kinda fast and would have mixed together in a cup plus been a big mess with a reg cone. 2. The waffle cone was just as good and very fresh with the perfect crisp texture and taste. Looking forward to going back to try other flavors. Although this place a quite a distance It was totally worth the trip. Service is great as well. My server was pleasant and helpful in explaining the flavors while also giving samples. The price was quite reasonable too compared to other homemade ice cream shops. Watch out for my next review.

La Neveria is so good!! It was on yelps suggestions of best ice cream in northern VA & it did not disappoint. We got there at 8:30 pm & it closed at 9. There was still a long line which shows a place is really good. There are popsicles, ice cream & the classic mangonada (a frozen mango treat with an infusion of tangy & spicy powder on top). I got an ice cream scoop in a waffle cone. The flavor I got was Gansito: a Mexican snack cake, with strawberry-flavored jelly and a crème-filled cake with chocolate-flavored coating. It was delicious. Highly recommend this place

You know what they say... if it's full that means it's probably delicious. I came in to buy some paletas and waited in like for about 15 minutes. They had run out of Oreo (a bestseller), but it was also like 8pm so that's ny fault. Since most of my family requested Oreo I had to choose random flavors... let me tell you... they were all EXCELLENT! The strawberries and cream tastes like heaven, caramel is so decadent and pistachio is filled with nuts. They were all very creamy, even the fruit flavored ones. No wonder there was a long line. I would definitely come back here

    Small Esquite and Small Mangonada

My husband and I visited for the first time today and were not disappointed. Between the two of us, we got esquites, a mangonada, and a paleta. I already want to return for the mangonada--a beautiful blend of sweet, tart, and spicy. My husband agrees that the mangonada was the best part of our visit. I cannot handle much spice, so to be safe I asked our server to go easy on it for both the mangonada and esquite. During this time of COVID, I appreciated that our server used a new pair of gloves for every item she prepared. We visited before noon on a rainy Sunday and did not have to wait in line. Ordering was a breeze. The store got busier once noon hit. I intend to visit again very soon!

Best icecream place in Woodbridge area. Our favorite is fresas con crema. We will probably be coming back again and again especially in the summer.

We made it right before closing! We got mango with tres leches & coconut with blackberry & cheese. All 4 flavors were delicious, but the mango was my favorite. It was so refreshing & like eating a fresh peeled mango. The only downfall is they close at 9. Wish they were open at least till 9:30-10 on a hot summer night! Definitely check this place out! Wish I was local so I could frequent.

Delicious, authentic Mexican street food. I had a mangonada and a esquite. It's far from me but it's soo worth it! Line can get long but I don't mind waiting.

Esquites, mangonada, and a regular agua fresca.

Amazing! The ladies that work here are lovely and they're abiding by mask safety protocols. I had esquites, a mangonada, and an agua fresca de melon and they were all fantastic. (I had to get all the things because I'm not in the area ). You know the place is good when they don't water down their agua fresca! The atmosphere was great too, quiet but lively with chatter from families stopping by. (It made me miss my family back home ).

Delicious popsicles! That's what it should named. These popsicles were fresh, homemade, and flavorful. I got one that was strawberries and cream. And another that was full of cashews. They were probably the best popsicle in Virginia. I stumbled upon this place while in Woodbridge on business and I'm glad I did. I hope to be in the area again so that I can bring some home in a cooler. It was to much to eat so quickly. Definitely a lot of sugar in the mix.

Step inside and you'll see it's quite Gram-able (or is it "Insta-tastic"). In other words, it's gorgeously decorated. They have a wide array of sweet treats, almost all of them oversized. My kids have enjoyed their "dirt" sundaes and their ice cream heaped upon belgian waffles. Other non-ice cream treats include tiramisu and cakes imported from Italy, mochi balls, coffee drinks, smoothies, and yes Harry Potter geeks - even some Butterbeer. The service is always OK. They are patient as you cut through the giant menu, and they always make things delicious! But they aren't exactly outgoing either. I highly recommend Miki. For this particular visit, I tried a pineapple green tea. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't terrible either. It was refreshing enough. They might be worth a try for others. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the sweetest woman, Ms. L, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. We ended up having a lovely conversation about business and Blue Bell ice cream, which happens to be the brand they proudly serve. The shop offers a great variety of treats, including both dispenser-style and individually wrapped candies, along with a selection of specialty sodas. They also serve milkshakes, and while the flavor selection isn't overwhelming, it includes many of the most popular and well-loved options. The space itself is small but clean, inviting, and well kept. While there are no public restrooms, the overall atmosphere makes it a pleasant place to stop in and enjoy a treat. Overall, it was a sweet and enjoyable visit, and a perfect stop if you're in the area and looking to satisfy a craving. Update 4/12/26: We're back! It's Sunday, a beautiful Sunday...so why not have a scoop or two. Ms. L was not working today but service was efficient and the ice cream is scrumptious. I decided on salted caramel with a cake cone this time and my mini chose a scoop of mango in a cup. Delightful!

Located in historic Occoquan VA, it's mainly a chocolate shop that ethically sources its cocoa from different countries around the world in order to make their in house (mostly dark) chocolate bars and bon bons. They also serve gelato, drinking chocolate (hot cocoa) and on select weekends homemade pizza with sourdough via Graffiti Cat! The shop is very small with no seating inside but there are a couple tables and chairs right outside and in the alley (in the winter we just get it to go or eat in the car). Parking is hard as it's very busy and it's on a historic street so it's all on the side of the sidewalk. The drinking chocolate is my favorite! I always have to order a traditional (think American hot cocoa but with a richer feel), and a European drinking chocolate (smaller cup with less milk but so rich like drinking straight melted dark chocolate!, so absolutely delicious!). I often get their bonbons as well which are handmade and have various flavors like toasted coconut, Ugandan Dark chocolate (named for the country of cocoa origin), raspberry and mint, along with a few others. I got the 70% dark chocolate, the mint chocolate, and the toasted coconut. I liked two of them but the mint chocolate tasted a bit too much like toothpaste to me so I didn't finish that one. Now onto the Pizza. They make their own sourdough for these personal size pizzas, and use fresh ingredients. They have a set menu except for one special pizza which changes each week and is updated on their website. I ordered the margarita pizza and added pepperoni on top. The margarita part was tasty and the sourdough really compliments the ingredients well...if you like sourdough you'll love these pizzas. I would say that the pepperoni is more porky than beefy and since I don't tend to like pork I didn't appreciate it as much as I usually do. If you like pork you will be fine with it. The pizza is NY style in that it is thin and chewy. I think it could use a bit more sauce but it's tasty nonetheless. My husband got the cheese pizza and he enjoyed it but not nearly as much as me (though he doesn't love sourdough like I do). The service is great and I love the adorable cat mascot for the pizza. They hand draw on each pizza box and each one is unique, which is cool. If you look out the window you'll see they 'graffitied' a graffiti cat on the brick on the side of the building. Bon bons: 4/5 Drinking chocolate: 5/5 Pizza: 4/5 TLDR: delicious dark chocolate for drinking and eating; ethically sourced. Pizza pop up on weekends is good and has a cute cartoon cat mascot. Parking sucks, but that's just historic districts for you. I dream of the drinking chocolate and need to get it at least once a month. I definitely recommend both Potomac Chocolate and Graffiti Cat.
