F Great option for nice dinner out. Celebrations of any class, they have a private dinner for special occasions or even business events. Food are really good very Argentina close enough , excellent presentation and taste. Very nice and quiet ambiance. Empanadas were great! Totally recommend

Spices in the kitchen, but only use salt and pepper

I come here every time I have to work, but I've been a little disappointed because when I asked for seasoning to my dish, they say that all they have is salt and pepper however, I'm sitting directly by the window of the kitchen and there's a row of spices there. I really wish they would cook for the customer

Third time here already. Food is great. Ambulance is very good. Complimentary hot bread is regressive. Steaks are great, so are all other dishes.

Skirt steak my hubby had already ate half of it, so soft and juicy! Great flavor

Our very first time here, so excited that we finally found a a place where the food was awesome & service. We loved the service! Love how they're all bilingual!! The food was amazing! I definitely recommend this place. I wish they had more options for sides.

La Pampa is a must have! This is our third year in a row making this a part of our vacation plans, and it was better this year than we remember. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner. Reservations are best, but they've worked us in even without one. Be prepared to spend some money but I promise it's worth it. The pate that comes with the bread is so good. The bread is a soft crumb sourdough baked to perfection. Every year we start with the octopus appetizer and it was the perfect blend of tender, butter, charred and delicious. We have also ordered the bone marrow and I would definitely recommend that as well. All three years we have ordered the parradilla Argentina which is a meat platter. It was seasoned just right, and we recommend ordering a cup of the basil cream soup to go with it. The soup provides a freshness and acts as a palate cleanser between bites of delicious grilled meats! I have also ordered the lamb in past visits and it was cooked just right and delicious. We end the meal every year with the fried ice cream (helado frito) that has a raspberry sauce. It is so good. Every one should come here!! We don't drink alcohol, so I don't have insight on their drink menu. But service is professional, attentive, and helpful.

    Pulpo was the appetizer

It was my first visiting this establishment. Very nice restaurant, from hostess- servers everyone was so friendly and attentive. My dinner date and I ordered an appetizer which we shared, and for our dinner entree we shared an 18oz. Ribeye steak with a salad. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion with your significant other.Definitely going back to try something different on a separate occasion.

Very thin piece of meat. Flavor was average.

Argentinian steak houses. The only one south of McAllen. Great food, cocktails and service. Sister restaurant to Madeira.

My Lomo Alto was tough as nails. What a shame considering I've eaten the ribeye 10 x's.

Wine - a stellar wine list, with a focus on Argentina (more Malbecs from different regions than I have ever seen) and incredible value; we had an organic Malbec for $45 with would cost 3x on the East coast Cow it's about the beef! A wood burning grill with the aroma of Mesquite for the Beef Short Ribs, NY Strip, Ribeye (with our without bone), right up to the Tomahawk. I had the lamb chops (8) which were cooked perfectly pink just like in France. All come with a house salad and the sides are amazing. The usual suspects (fries, mashed potatoes etc) but we went for the baked beets with cream cheese, pistachio & arugula and the portobello mushrooms; enough for the table and more to take home for lunch tomorrow... Service was great, despite the cramped conditions It's been a long time since I've had such a great meal out Try it - you will not be disappointed

Water was served right away. They Brought out the bread and tomatoes right away. Had some really good Argentinian red wine. They even let us do some wine tasting . Our daughter's food came out before ours ! Perfect! They fell in love with the Empanadas! As for my wife and I, we ordered Bife con Hueso. Words can't describe how delicious it was, with the chimi churi ! Cooked to perfection, with the right amount of flavor. Mad props to the chef. And presentation 10/10. The whole evening was just at peace. The food. The drinks. The service. The atmosphere. We'll be coming back again! Happy holidays

Service is attentive, professional, and friendly. Prices are reasonable for this level of food experience. We enjoyed fresh guacamole as an appetizer. For entrees we had a rib eye steak and grilled salmon with a caper sauce. All of the dishes exceeded our expectations. The menu is written in Spanish and our waiter spoke limited English. Our ability to communicate in Spanish is very limited. While it would seem that this combination of language challenges would make for a difficult situation; it really did not. This is due to our great waiter. His willingness to patiently listen to us and to explain the menu to the best of his ability actually added to the great experience we had at La Cancilleria. If you are in the Brownsville area and you enjoy top notch food experiences, head across the border to La Cancilleria. We took an Uber to the border and walked to the restaurant. It is a short walk from the International Bridge and we never felt unsafe. While in Matamoros, stop by the Contemporary Art Museum. This small art museum is well worth a visit.
