Okay this place was so great! Portions were amazing and they bring all of the condiments in little fried tortilla cups. I got shredded chicken tacos on corn tortillas and they doubled the tortillas (which I love when places do because corn gets soggy so fast) and they were amazing! the sourcream also seemed whipped which is my favorite. My boyfriend got a large margarita for $10 and it was literally bigger than his head. I didnt get a pic but trust me. His dad got a michelada with a lager modelo and loved it too! I'm spoiled when it comes to authentic representations of food, so at times it's hard to rate places that have taken dishes and changed them to suit other people's palates and and lack of....taste. Do I rate them higher because they were good for what they are...or lower because they are far removed from what they should be....the dilemma! With that said, this place was good for a chain restaurant. Our server was super sweet and attentive. She did a great job. From what I saw as a whole, the entire wait staff were working their butts off and everyone around seemed happy. The food was all familiar and cooked properly. I was expecting my brisket in the taquitos to be dried out, but was really pleasantly surprised that it was juicy and had a really nice heat level due to the sautéed jalapeños and was flavored well too. Everyone said their food was solid and tasty...fish/shrimp weren't fishy in the least. I had a bite of shrimp and it was cook perfectly. Consistent good Mexican food/ Tex Mex/ Mex Fusion. A great variety and consistently good. The service is great and the atmosphere is casual. Plenty of parking, etc. I usually get their Arrachera steak, a beloved Mexican dish, features a specific cut of beef known as skirt steak. It's an excellent steak. I usually get their white rice and black beans with it. This time I got their Carnitas with their white rice and black beans and my wife got their Grilled Chicken Mexican Wrap. Both were awesome! I poured the beans over the rice and added some Pico de Gallo on top of the beans and rice (my added touch!). Pic included. If you're this way in Griffin Georgia try them. I was a twice a week and definitely once a week customer....and have given great reviews...unfortunately either mgmt or ownership has changed or they just don't care. Tonight the salsa had an inch long torn piece of plastic in the salsa...actually two pieces...so I checked the pico and sure enough another piece of plastic...so looks like it's not freshly made but store bought and apparently they don't care if a piece of plastic which doesn't digest like food and can lead to serious health complications.....I'll contact health department because it's not against the law to use store bought salsa but I'm pretty sure it's not good if you have 1-2" plastic pieces in food!?! Make sure you dig through all food from this place and I'm done...sucks too because they used to be my fav... read more

I love this place and come here quite often. I really hate giving bad reviews but this guy is making me not want to come back here. Or at least on his shifts, MOY! Usually bartenders are fast, efficient, stays on top of things, not so much this guy. And a little rudeness in the mix also. I am literally the ONLY one sitting at the bar with a Togo order waiting. I sit at the bar for about 10 mins while he is in sight the entire time and not greeted. Then I finally get up and get myself a menu and sits back down. Theennnn he asks "can I get you anything?" I reminded him I just got up and got my own menu so a little time please. Per usual when I come here I order a small beer and a shot. But for whatever reason he has an issue with me ordering the 2. This location is on par with other locations within the chain. La Parilla is the Mexican food I crave when I'm back home in Missouri. While visiting family over the holidays, I visited twice. The first time was for lunch. It's always a difficult choice between the taco loco or the super burrito. Since we ordered a bowl of queso, I decided to forego the taco loco (which also has queso) in favor of the super burrito. I always add a scoop of guacamole and I asked if they have a spicy salsa. Our server suggested the salsa de arbol. While I wouldn't recommend this salsa for chip dipping (not because of the heat, but because it has a pasty/grainy texture), it was perfect for adding a bit of heat to my burrito (I didn't think it was THAT spicy by the way). On my next visit, for dinner, our table had margaritas, yet another round of queso, and all of us ordered steak--quesadilla, nachos, tacos, and fajitas. And we ate every last bite. read more

This was probably the cleanest most efficiently run Mexican food place that I have been to in Georgia . During the days of Covid, it was apparent that customer and employee safety were a top priority. Customer seating was limited to every other table while hand sanitizer and face coverings were plentiful. If I remember correctly, the hostess even took our temperature when we walked in. I appreciated this type of consideration. The food was amazing. For an appetizer we ordered the guacamole. Which was made in front of us by our waiter. He made sure that he told us everything that he was going to put in it and let us decide on what we wanted to opt out of. He took out order and brought out some chips and out drinks. My husband asked for spicy salsa and he was brought out the spiciest salsa that we have ever had at a restaurant (caution with that one if you have nut allergy). My son and I ordered street tacos, my daughter nachos, my husband Enchiladas and we all left happy and satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place and go there again. read more

Too high prices for a Mexican food restaurant, in my opinion- especially for the area. However, the quality of the food, cleanliness and personal attention is superb. I can see how they achieved the 100 A rating. :) The fish tacos were our least favorite fish of the three we tried-- and we typically love fish tacos. There was something off about them. The fish should have been grilled at the least. This I know. Our other dishes were really great- but again--too pricy. We went here to celebrate a family members birthday recently and wow was I impressed! We had to start with house margs which were very tasty and I loved how they offer 3 different sizes. We did table side guac and they asked for our preferences of ingredients and it was delicious. I went with the veggie fajitas and omg .. the portion size was unbelievable! I literally made 3 meals out of it and probably could have made 4 . Everything was fresh and SO good! Loved all of the vegetarian options. Everyone at dinner enjoyed their meals as well (sorry for the lack of pics, we were starving). They even helped us celebrate the birthday with song and dance as well as dessert! Our server was incredibly busy but he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of - so thankful for the patient manager who stepped in to help too.
