It became our lunch stop at least once a week and I have yet to find a restaurant anywhere that can duplicate the flavors. It is so delicious that I still crave their food 13 years later and I have tried for the last 8 years to try to duplicate their flavors, I have not had any luck. The service we received there was outstanding every time we visited. If I ever get the chance to visit the beautiful city of San Luis Potosi again my first stop will be at La Casa de la Arracera. My mouth is watering now just thinking about it.

Weekend nights have live music, that nicely enhances the atmosphere while you wind down with your significant other or friends. We had great appetizers that you can only find in a few places (tuétano and escamoles). If you are not local you must be adventurous to try this Mexican delicatessen. The other options Chamorro adobado, rib eye, octopus were average compared to other places. Dessert was outstanding. Now, a word of caution... if you come here in a cold night, make sure to bring a jacket or sweater, this place is open and it gets cold , but with a few tequilas you forget about it

And it was very hot when it got served. Every restaurant I visit for breakfast I have a tendency of ordering the same thing ( comfort zone lol) I ordered the chilaquiles and was not disappointed the tortilla was crunchy and the salsa was not to spicy. My husband ordered tacos de bistec good flavor and a sope ( like a gordita) with chicharrón really delicious a bit spicy but tolerable. If you are looking for something affordable, good flavor, good customer services I recommend this restaurant. On a side note the restaurant is located near a church and an old jail now turned into a museum which both places are of walking distance.

Once you arrive you pick a sheet of paper and write the food orders. Normally is Gorditas, stuffed quesadillas, or sopes (best I've ever tasted!). You have a visual menu (all dishes in front of you) and you pick the one you want in your order. Then you pick your drink, take a seat and wait. You might say it will take long due to how crowded it is, but it goes quickly! They have like ten servers that go back and forth from the kitchen to your table bringing your food and calling your name. Now, the best finish is the 'boli', which is a homemade ice cream with vanilla flavor. Wow! They make me go back many years remembering what I used to have as a kid!!! No more industrialized ice cream! This is great! I actually came 3 times to this place during my visit. And I'll be back in December!!!
