Would have never expected the city to have a place…read morepaying homage to all things American; music sports etc.... the atmosphere was excellent especially inside where you can look at all the American nostalgia items ( outside in the alley was a bit Smokey - actually had to move in because of all the smokers ) the food was on par with your typical American TGI Friday's Chills Applebee's etc... but the owner was very friendly as we enjoyed talking with about his travels to the states. The chicken fajitas were better than some I've had in Texas restaurants. The table next to us were served burgers and they looked great, too. And not just any cheese, french cheese! And not just anywhere, in France, in Rouen! The most important city of Normandy, once the city of kings, and the city of robust cheese trade, where every cheese from every part of France passed through. The restaurant is a simple and joyful lightly decorated, unmistakably french saloon. The staff are very helpful, a reduced english menu exists, but the best choices are in the french menu! Don't miss the appetizers, they are melting! And the different types of heavenly fondue are in the middle page! They are minimum for two people, so take your friend with you. I recommend red wine, even with all this cheese, they have 3 great choices by the glass and even more by the bottle. Finish your meal with a profiterol, and you're half way to heaven. The cheesy heaven with fondue rivers and parmesan mountains, camembert forest and gruyere fields.

Chic and cosy at the same time, you will leave La Petite Bouffe feeling very full (be sure to come fairly hungry/starving) but very happy. 20 eu fixed menu for dinner included an appetizer (salad with foie gras was amazing, would also recommend the duck pate), a main course (GET THE DUCK, or the lamb), a side of cheese+bread, a dessert (note, the tiramisu actually has fruits not coffee, you should only get profiteroles if you like almonds/almond liquer, and the vanilla creme brulee was warm and perfect), and also tea/coffee. Though they give you a lot of food, they do not compromise on quality. Place gets packed ~9 pm, so if you're an American take advantage and eat earlier (~6:30/7 when it's not peak eating hours)
