We had this place recommended to us by family friends. And while I guess they get a lot of good…read morepress, I didn't fall in love like many before me have. The reason is probably because of the paella.
Now I know that I'm not an expert in paella. Far from it. But I have cooked it before and I have had it in other places in Spain. So maybe I'm an advanced beginner. And what I got wasn't that good, and it wasn't paella. It was more like rice with some mediocre sauce and seafood in a shallow dish. I love rice, so it wasn't a total loss, but I wouldn't recommend it.
On the other hand the cockles were buttery and good, and the place very authentic, the kind of place that gets a lot of locals visiting. But you can do better.
