The meat was very good and the portion was huge! I could not finish it despite being really hungry! My companion had the burger and that was also big and the meat in the burger was good, but the rest of the burger was quite ordinary. If you neef GF or NGF a celiac travel card in French would be recommended to ensure you get food that works. Tartare is GF! Location and surroundings of the outdoors serving is not the most fancy as it is located by a parking garage entrance, but no car at all came through while we were eating, so it did not disturb us. Despite the language barrier the staff was truly helpful and we had a lovely night.

Nice location by the water, friendly and accommodating staff. Each dish was prepared with care and presented perfectly. I enjoyed the tuna tartar and the sea bream (Dorade) both. Excellent Corsican wine list; I'll suggest the tasty and affordable local vin blanc from Clos Marfisi, Inseme Patrimonio. Perfect pairing with the fish; light, lemony, minerally. The restaurant has almost exclusively outdoor seats; there are a couple of tables indoors, but if the weather permits it - ask for a table on one of the terraces. The view is magnificent. The restaurant offers hot and cold appetizers, main courses, different fish dishes and desserts (such as smoothies, ice cream, regular cake desserts). They DO NOT accept cards however, so come prepared with cash.. A lot of it, because the prices aren't exactly budget friendly. During my vacation in St. Flo, I went to La Crique three times. Two - for lunch, once - for a post-lunch dessert. I enjoyed my first lunch visit, when I had the lamb skewers. The meat was perfectly cooked, the rosé was chilled to perfection and the fries were just the way I like 'em; crispy on the outside, mushy on the inside. During my second lunch visit, I ordered the "pâte avec gambas", and let me tell ya.. I'm Swedish and I'm used to eating king prawns.. and prawns in general. But these were just impossible to eat without getting soiled beyond recognition. Don't get me wrong - the pasta was great. I loved the spaghetti (although I dearly missed a spoon..), it was drenched in olive oil, garlic and parsley, but the king prawns were just.. I don't know. Bland. And hard to eat - especially from a large cereal-type bowl. My non-lunch visit, however.. This was my second, overall visit to La Crique and I went there with a little kid friend of mine because I wanted to use the restaurant's wifi and I had promised him ice cream. We were treated horribly. If the place is half-full, and you charge a smaller fortune for ice cream - why treat paying customers like crap just because they're not having actual food? It's not like I went there and asked for the wifi password and ordered an espresso.. I ordered a glass of rosé and two scoops of ice cream. I also asked for water, which I had to pay almost 2 euros for, something I wasn't informed of and only found out about when I got the check. We were first placed by a regular table and then told to sit by the stairs up to the Citadelle, because.. like I said, the place was half empty, it was after lunch and I really don't see why we were reseated. It should be noted that the staff - at least the people I met - spoke almost no English what so ever. It was a very unpleasant experience for me. I've been dining out all over the world my entire life and generally, I think the staff of La Crique should get off their high horse and take a class or two on how to treat paying customers. So, to sum up: - they don't take cards, bring cash; - the staff don't really speak English and the menus only come in French; - there's a pretty solid wifi connection, but you'll need to ask the staff for the password; - the prices are pretty exaggerated (think around 15 euros for a main course, around 8-10 for dessert...) - the lamb skewer is pretty good! - they have a pretty easy kids' menu: a slice of chicken ham or regular ham (jambon) with fries. - there's A LOT of walking up and down different stairs to come here.

There are little lamps hanging in the trees, you're sitting in the middle of nowhere pretty much, the atmosphere is cool and quiet.. Perfect, just perfect. My party consisted of five adults and two children. Because YES! This is a great place for children too. There are kid-appropriate meals on the menu, there's a separate lounge area where the kids can eat their desserts after dinner and there's a separate play area with swings, a slide and a broad selection of toys. The food served at Le Potager du Nebbio is organic, locally grown and of highest quality. I had a warm sallad as my appetizer and vegetarian cannelloni as my main course - both excellent choices. I opted out of dessert but the rest of my dinner party shared two or three different kinds (such as chocolate lava cake, raspberry mousse and crème brulée) and they were very happy with their choices. The kids got homemade ice cream, apparently really good as well. While we were waiting for our appetizers, we got a free starter in the form of homemade tapenade with homemade thin crackers. The tapenade was awesome! Even the youngest person of our party - a 4-year-old - loved it. The wine served at Le Potager is local Corsican wine, organic of course. I tried both rosé and red, and it was great (but then again, I'm a fan of Corsican wine, so I might be slightly partial). Our party was served by a young girl and she was very kind, patient, helpful and had a smile on her face the entire time we were there. I don't know if they speak English though. She was also very good with the two kids which is a big plus. I'm also not sure if it's possible to pay by card - but since that option is often unavailable in France, do come prepared and bring cash, just in case. As for the prices - this isn't a cheap restaurant. Far from it. But you get excellent service and amazing, organic and locally grown food, so I think it's worth the "splurge".

We started our meal by sharing the foie gras starter which was excellent. The foie gras was served on spice cake slices, and accompanied by a cheese and pistachio mousse and various preserved fruits and vegetables. We had chosen a white wine recomended by our waiter to go with the entire meal, and this worked very well. For mains, I had the bucatini with langoustines, which was just as it should be and very tasty. My mum had initially ordered the local rascasse fish, but when it arrived, it had an unpleasant overly "fishy" taste. The waiter explained that, since it was a fish that lived in deeper waters, this was normal, but nevertheless was exceptionally gracious and offered us to switch for another fish dish free of charge. The new dish with cod on black rice with grilled vegetables arrived only 8 minutes later, and was simply divine! He was very happy with all of the desserts texture and flavor. They do not have many GF alternatives, but they did have a chocolate mousse that was ok, but nothing special. The mascarpone contains crushed cookies, so that is also off limits for us that need GF unfortunately. The staff was helpful, but the attitude was soso. No smiles and a lot of huff and puff about most things it seemed. Location of the café is very nice with lots of shadow and at a calm side street to the square. Overall we had a nice time and would consider going back. Place appears to have live bands and other events happening quite often. My girlfriend had a pasta carbonara which was pretty good as well. I guess she was able to finish half of it. The owners were very friendly and at ease, truly a very relaxed place to be. Also a big plus: there's a huge parking lot in front of the restaurant. Nothing fancy, just a very nice place to fill your belly bag ;)
