I had seen a lot of reviews about this is a must visit patisserie in Strasbourg. I passed by it a…read morefew times before stopping in and each time there was a line out the door. I finally decided to make the stop around lunch time on a Tuesday and waited a little less than 10 minutes (the line moves quickly). I ordered a pain au chocolate and the pretzel gratinee. Together they were both around 5 euros which is pretty reasonable. They warmed up the pretzel which was nice. Unfortunately there was nothing special about either things to me that would make me want to go back. They were good, but nothing that stood out to make it exceptional. I've had numerous pain au chocolats and this tasted like the rest. The pretzel was good and soft, which I liked but the cheese was only in the middle and not much on the outside. I've had better tasting pretzels for sure. It was a decent place, but not as hyped up as it was made out to be.

Small but delicious bakery and pastry shop in the heart of old Strasbourg!…read more Not the largest selection (only a few dozen - ha) of pastries, breads, and slices of quiche to go. No seating, this is grab and go. Some items (small cookies, etc.) packed to take home or to give as gifts. Which is what I did. Nice spot if you're looking for a quick carbo break!
